• Barong Temple - Believed to have been built around the 9th and 10th centuries AD, this temple is a relic of the Medang Kingdom from the Mataram period. Rediscovered in the early 20th century in a collapsed state during the expansion of a sugar cane plantation by a Dutchman. The name ‘Barong’ was given by locals due to the barongan-like ornaments, a mystical creature in Javanese mythology, found in the temple’s recesses.
• Sojiwan Temple - A Buddhist temple constructed between 842-850 AD. It features around 20 reliefs at its base, depicting Buddhist moral teachings that remain relevant today.
