Begin the Trek from Bukit Lawang Village
Gunung Leuser National Park - At 8:30 am, after enjoying breakfast, the guides will meet the group at the hotel. The adventure will commence with a 6 to 7-hour trek through the jungle. With some luck, participants might encounter Orangutans, Thomas leaf monkeys, Gibbons, or long-tailed Macaques. A lunch break will feature tropical fruits, followed by a short walk to the campsite. There, activities such as river bathing and appreciating the stunning natural scenery await. Complimentary tea, coffee, and snacks will be provided by the team. As the day concludes, a delightful dinner will be prepared, potentially including rice, vegetables, chicken, chili sauce, tempeh, and more. After dinner, a fun group game can be enjoyed before retiring for a well-deserved rest.
Day 2
Gunung Leuser National Park - Following breakfast provided by Team Bukit Lawang Planet, the group will continue the jungle exploration. The journey will include learning about forest plants that serve as herbal medicine. With some luck, fascinating animals such as the Endangered Orangutan, White-handed gibbon, snakes, monkeys, monitor lizards, and other unique wildlife may be spotted. The jungle trek typically lasts 5-6 hours. During the day, the team will prepare a lunch featuring fresh, locally sourced fruit. After lunch, the trek back to Bukit Lawang will begin. Participants have two options: return on foot or enjoy a traditional tube raft ride down the river for an additional fee. The choice is between walking back to Bukit Lawang or experiencing tube rafting down the river.
