Magic evening - Everything is planned and organized for our comfort: clothes, shoes , travel, local but appreciated meals, sympathy and availability of the organizers. Everything was perfect...but it was very cold!!!

At the mercy of Mother Nature - The whole experience was great as we were able to be flexible with the dates depending on the forecast of the aurora and ended up seeing it. There is no guarantee to see the aurora as it is really weather dependant but you could increase your chances by keeping track of the forecast yourself. I would recommend staying at least a few nights and booking for the first night and then changing the dates later. Staff were great but based on the wording of the booking, I was expecting it to be run by a Sami person as we were looking for something not too touristy, but the guide ended up being Finnish even though he was very knowledgeable and friendly. Our group had a few really talkative people so if you like that that is great but we would have preferred a bit more of a balance of people asking questions. Overall, very worth it but if you’re going in January be prepared for the cold and overcast skies.

Unforgettable Aurora Experience with Exceptional Hospitality - We had an absolutely outstanding Aurora Tour in Lapland (Ivalo). From the very first contact, the crew was incredibly responsive and genuinely committed to making our experience special. We had a few specific requests, and they went out of their way to accommodate all of them. What really stood out was their flexibility: they adjusted the schedule at short notice so we could maximize our chances of seeing the Northern Lights—and it paid off. Witnessing the aurora was a once-in-a-lifetime moment, and we’re grateful for the effort they put in to make it happen. Beyond the aurora, the experience was rich and authentic. We got to feed reindeers, learn more about local life, and enjoy delicious traditional food, which added a wonderful cultural dimension to the tour. On top of all that, the business owner personally helped us find a Husky Tour when their own tours were fully booked and we couldn’t find any alternatives ourselves. That level of care and customer focus is rare and deeply appreciated. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a well-organized, personal, and truly memorable Lapland experience.

A fabulous experience with a top team - We had a pleasant time with my companion during this activity. We were lucky enough to see beautiful Northern Lights, have a typical Finnish dinner and caress Manjo and Mathilda, the reindeer of Ivalo Safaris. And above all, professional cold equipment is provided and allows us to appreciate the activity as well as possible without suffering from these negative temperatures.

Not worth the money - The pick up and equipment was good. That evening it was very cold, which we knew when booking the trip and had dressed accordingly. The description on the Internet is unfortunately incorrect and misleading. We were packed into a very uncomfortable wooden sleigh for 10 people and drove with it over the frozen lake to the island. Then we drove this sled across the lake for half an hour at -31 degrees, we were half frozen despite equipment. No blankets, just a thin reindeer fur on the tight seat. The “3-course dinner” with the family on the island took place in a wooden tipi that was not heated. Although a fire was built, it was still freezing cold and there was no need to warm up. There was punch and sausages made of pork and vegetarian (from what?) and a vegetable soup in which some reindeer meat pieces floated occasionally. A slice of bread and sandwich cheese was served in plastic. This is not dinner! Where the family was, I still wonder today. Possibly the two drivers were the owners. The two reindeer were behind a fence and could be briefly fed a small piece of moss, that’s it. So nothing with petting etc., they were just there. The best part was a young dog playing with us. Then we could drill a hole in the ice on the lake with our hand. Then we were asked if we wanted to take the sled to the lake again, but everyone said no and wanted to go home again because we were frozen and nobody felt like it anymore. In addition, the driver made fun of the other guests that he can't help the cold. Yes, but providing a place to warm up and a proper meal, as advertised, that's your responsibility. Not worth the money, the description on the Internet is glossed over and raises false expectations. It was cool to be on a big frozen lake, but not at the price. You can save the trip.

Unfortunately not as good as we expected - We where very exited to experience a real Finnish dinner and Finnlands beautiful nature. Unfortunately, the tour wasn’t what we expected. First of all did the entire tour last only 2,5h instead of 4h as promised. Secondly, we didn’t had a choice between reindeer and fish, which would have been fine if the food would have met the standards we expected. Sadly we only got half a bowl of soup, which mainly consisted of a few vegetables and nearly no meat. The sausage was pork, which was alright, even though we would have expected deer meat (would be a better fit). Thirdly, they took the warming hives away on the way back, which made the ride pretty uncomfortable and cold. The only good thing was the stunning nature, nice guides and northern lights. Overall, the experience didn’t meet the standards we expected for the price.
