• Lake Louise - Visitors to Lake Louise will be captivated by the stunning turquoise lake, which, before it freezes, glistens beneath the towering mountain peaks, reflecting the surrounding glaciers and forests in its crystal-clear waters. As the seasons change and the lake freezes over, the scene transforms into a winter wonderland, with the lake’s surface becoming a smooth, icy expanse perfect for skating, all framed by snow-capped mountains.

• Peyto Lake - Visitors can observe a stunning turquoise-colored lake nestled amidst the Canadian Rockies, where, before the freeze, the vibrant hue of the water—caused by glacial rock flour suspended in the lake—shimmers against the surrounding peaks. As the lake begins to freeze, the turquoise waters gradually give way to a smooth, icy surface, creating a mesmerizing contrast with the snow-covered landscape. Surrounding viewpoints offer breathtaking vistas of this natural wonder in both its vibrant and frozen states, making it a must-see for nature enthusiasts and photographers year-round.
• Mount Rundle Viewpoint - Mt. Rundle could actually be considered a small mountain range as the mountain extends for over 12 kilometers (7.5 mi), on the south side of the Trans-Canada Highway eastward from Banff to Canmore with seven distinct peaks along the way. The third peak southeast of Banff is the highest at 9,675 feet (2,949 m).

Emerald Lake is enchanting in every season. Before it freezes, its crystal-clear waters mirror the peaks and forests, creating a vibrant green contrast. In winter, it transforms into a tranquil, snow-covered wonderland.

Peyto Lake dazzles with its turquoise hue before winter, reflecting rugged peaks. Once frozen, it becomes a peaceful icy landscape, with its wolf-head shape visible from Bow Summit, framed by snowy mountains.
