- Bow Lake - The Activity: On the return journey towards Lake Louise, make a quick stop at Bow Lake, which also provides a view of the Crowfoot Glacier towering above.
Duration: 15 mins.
- Lake Louise - The Activity: Visit the most renowned basin in the area. Stroll along the shoreline to discover quieter vantage points of the lake and surrounding peaks, offering a clearer view of the Victoria Glacier and the majestic Fairmont Chateau.
Duration: 1 hour.
- Moraine Lake - The Activity: At Moraine Lake, enjoy a walk along the forest-lined lakeshore (up to 2.5km return) and a short climb up the “Rockpile” trail (350m each way). This provides two perspectives: close-up views from the water’s edge and the iconic elevated vista of the breathtaking Ten Peaks and turquoise waters from the Rockpile. On the way back to Banff, there is an option for a quick stop at Lake Louise Village.
Duration: 1 hour.
Note: Moraine Lake Road is closed to all vehicles during winter and to private, non-commercial vehicles year-round. This stop is available from June to mid-October. Our van has the necessary permits for direct access during this period, eliminating the need for vehicle changes or shuttle queues.
- Bow Valley Parkway - The Return – via the Bow Valley Parkway
The Activity: If time allows, transition to the Bow Valley Parkway for part of the journey back to Banff. This quieter and more relaxed alternative to the Trans-Canada Highway offers a unique view of the valley and increased chances of wildlife sightings.
Note: Some sections may be seasonally closed for wildlife protection and to provide a vehicle-free experience for cyclists. During these times, the most scenic accessible parts of the route are used.
