• Imouzzer Kandar - After being picked up from your accommodation, the journey begins with an ascent into the Atlas Mountains. The first village encountered is Ifrane, a charming town offering a panoramic view back to Fes. Nearby, there is a delightful natural spring with a park where visitors can enjoy a walk along the fresh water stream.
• Lake Dait Aoua - After passing through Immouzer, the next highlight is the beautiful Lake Dayet Aoua, located just north of Ifrane. Surrounded by woodlands, this area is rich in bird life. During warm weather, small self-paddled boats are available for rent to explore the lake.
• Ifrane - Upon arrival in Ifrane, visitors will drive through picturesque tree-lined streets before entering the village, which surprises with its unique appearance in Morocco. With sloping roofs, abundant flower beds, and shady chestnut trees, the city resembles a charming European village. There is a park for horseback riding, and in the winter, a nearby ski slope. Ifrane is a popular summer destination for picnickers, while in winter, it attracts affluent skiers and visitors who enjoy snowball fights.
• Azrou Cedar Forest - Entering the Cedar Forest, visitors have the opportunity to see the famous Barbary macaque (Macaca sylvanus), also known as the Barbary ape, found only in this national park and Gibraltar. Peanuts for feeding the monkeys can be purchased at nearby stalls, and photos can be taken with them. Horse rentals (not included in the tour price) are available to explore the Cedar Forest, home to magnificent old cedar trees, some estimated to be 800 years old, alongside green oak, juniper, and hawthorn trees. Horseback riding adds an extra hour to the trip.
• Azrou - The tour’s next stop is the delightful town of Azrou, situated atop a mountain, offering a chance for lunch. After dining at a local restaurant, visitors can enjoy the local sights. Azrou provides a relaxing spot to unwind, away from the hustle of big cities. It is an important Berber market center in the Middle Atlas, surrounded by woods and high meadows that bloom every spring. Azrou’s petite medina is easily accessible and offers a refreshing, hassle-free place to wander.
• Fes - After lunch and a stroll in Azrou, the driver will return visitors down the mountain to Fez, either dropping them off at their accommodation or taking them to the airport.
