Cedar Forest Outdoors - The cedar forests cover extensive areas of Morocco’s Middle Atlas mountains, near Azrou. These rugged slopes are home to a rare and iconic cedar named after World War I French general Henri Gouraud, who was stationed in Morocco to lead colonial troops. The canyon walls can reach heights of up to 400 meters (1,312 ft).
Dades Gorges - The Dadès Gorges are a series of rugged wadi gorges carved by the Dadès River in Morocco. Originating in the High Atlas range, the river flows approximately 350 kilometers (220 mi) southwest before joining the Draa River at the Sahara’s edge. The gorge walls, in various colors, range from 200 to 500 meters (650 to 1600 feet).

Ait Ben Haddou - Aït Benhaddou is a fortified village along the former caravan route between the Sahara and Marrakech in present-day Morocco. While most residents live in modern dwellings across the river, four families still reside in the ancient village. Within the ksar walls are several kasbahs, or merchants’ houses. Ksar Aït Benhaddou is a prime example of Moroccan earthen clay architecture and has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1987.
