informative bike tour through the Jogja countryside - We did a bike tour with Sarie. It was a wonderful experience. The bikes were old (I think more then 40 years old Dutch bikes ,Gazelle) She let us experience the real life on the farmland. Through a well-known member of the village community, we were given a glimpse into the world of rural workers. We were able to participate in the rice harvest, see the production process of making Emping, and even participate in it ourselves. We were offered fresh products everywhere. The tour is highly recommended. Sarie is a strong communicator, interested, and friendly, and speaks good English. Her brother, Widi, picked us up from our hotel in the morning. Widi is also enthusiastic and loves to talk about life in his village. Afterward, he gave us lunch at a local restaurant, where you, as a tourist, eat among the locals. Very enjoyable. The only downside was the weather. It was incredibly hot (but of course, that's not their fault). Thank you, Sarie and Widi, for the active, enterprising, and informative morning. Hendrik

Good impression of the culture and locals - Bike ride through the areas around Yogyakarta. We got a good impression of how the locals live, what kind of work they do (preparing Tempeh, harvesting rice) and looked at the local school. Our guide Widi told a lot about the area. The animals in the area are sad to see, like monkeys in a cage and racing pigeons (this is a local tradition / sport). In addition, people live under non-western conditions, for example there was a lot of waste in the river and people burn their waste next to their front door. But these kinds of things are part of the culture and are illustrative to see.

Fantastic!! - What an experience, this trip is not to be missed. If you want to book a non-commercial bike tour you have come to the right place. You cycle with a great guide who can tell fantastic about the past, present, customs and culture. The content of the tour depends entirely on what comes your way and that makes it an unforgettable trip with only highlights. Prepare for friendly locals, customs and great food! A trip to remember!

Cycling Tour with lunch - Yogyakarta - a big thumbs up - i really enjoyed it - I thoroughly enjoyed this tour. A very relaxing and leisurely ride around and through the farming area and local villages. Met and chatted with the locals and obtained a good understanding of their farming techniques and produce. Met some local village women and learnt how to make some crackers, even giving it go myself. The museum visit was wonderful and the lunch I was provided was first rate. One of the highlights for me was meeting the teachers and students of a local school, that was super. As for my guide, I only have praise. He was truly wonderful. Super friendly with a great sense of humour. Not only was the knowledge he shared first rate, but he also took a great deal of pride in explaining local customs and history. I loved it. This tour gets a big thumbs up from me.

Beautiful bike ride in Yogyakarta village - An excellent day. Fery our driver was great. Picked us up early and explained a lot about Java and Indonesia. Our bike guides were Shan and Syana. Everyone spoke excellent English and were very informative. The scenery was beautiful and gave us great insights into local village life. Lots of rice fields, trees and village life. Easy cycling and great for anyone of any standard. Highly recommend.

A really nice experience! - Driver pickup exactly on time. Kiki was our local cycling guide and she did an excellent job guiding us around and showing several local locations and explained in details about everything and even get a hands on experience as well. We were both enjoying the day a lot and recommend the tour for everyone that wants to gain knowledge about rice growing, weaving, making emping and much more.
