After a morning pickup from your Reykjavik hotel at 8:30 am, embark on an all-day adventure in a super jeep to explore Iceland’s remarkable sights. The primary 4X4 super jeeps/vehicles are Land Rover Defenders, all modified with large 40-inch wheels to tackle the challenges these tours present daily, throughout the year! The jeeps are equipped with additional fold-down steps for easy access, luxurious leather seats, air conditioning, WiFi, GPS, a first-aid kit, Trackwell, and various safety equipment. Behind the wheel are experienced driving guides who expertly navigate these large vehicles through Iceland’s wilderness and highways.

Your first stop is Thingvellir National Park, where the Icelandic parliament was established over 1000 years ago. At Thingvellir, witness the slow separation of the North American and Eurasian tectonic plates and stand where Viking settlers once stood centuries ago.

Next, visit the Geysir geothermal area in Haukadalur, where you can observe geysers, hot springs, steam vents, and mysterious blue algae. Strokkur, one of the largest and most powerful geysers, erupts approximately every 5 minutes.

The final stop of the Golden Circle takes you to Gullfoss waterfall, often regarded as the queen of Icelandic waterfalls, with its impressive height and dramatic plunge into a deep gorge. After visiting Gullfoss, enjoy lunch at Gullfoss Café, which offers local cuisine, including Icelandic meat soup, all amidst the stunning backdrop of Gullfoss waterfall. Once lunch is finished, it’s time to test the Super jeep vehicles off-road: the journey will lead you to the highlands, rugged terrain, and glacier area of Langjökull (Icelandic for “long glacier”), the second-largest ice cap in Iceland (953 km2).
