Off the Beaten Track - We had the pleasure of completing 6 day self drive around Iceland and absolutely enjoyed the ever changing and dramatic scenery. Having read reviews of the the Super Jeep exploration we were eager to see another aspect of the Icelandic sights. This tour did not disappoint. Ragnar our driver and guides enthusiasm and love of the his job was obvious. We could not have experienced this without the special vehicles. We felt safe in Ragnar’s driving skills as he navigated his vehicle across waterways and rocky terrain. This full day activity is not cheap but we consider it money well spent.

A highlight in an already fantastic trip! - We booked the Thorsmark Super Jeep tour as part of our honeymoon and it was a truly unforgettable experience and one of the highlights of our trip. Our guide Carlos was fantastic, he was incredibly knowledgeable and shared lots of great insights about the surrounding area, history and Iceland in general. He was also just a wonderful person to interact with and his fantastic personality really helped take the tour to the next level. The whole tour experience with Midgard was fantastic and we can't recommend booking with them enough. If you have the chance their accompanying hotel is also fantastic and we really enjoyed our stay there as well.

Amazing Thorsmark trip! - We had a phenomenal tour and our guide knew the area so well and was able to give us a fantastic tour and really show us everything that was amazing. This is the tour you want to do for sure!

One of a kind adventure! - If you want to visit places that are less-touristy during your visit to Iceland, Midgard's Thorsmork Super Jeep/Hiking Tour is a great option. Though the weather can be iffy at any time of year, their super jeep (and our super guide Palmi) is ready to safely handle river crossings of the most challenging kind. Visiting a beach, glacier, and canyon by jeep and hiking to a vista (steep but doable for a person of average to slightly below average athletic ability) has been a trip highlight despite our having visited Iceland in the past. Highly recommend!

A magical experience we will remember forever - I booked a private Superjeep tour of Thorsmork as a surprise (engagement) for my now fiancée. Our guide Ragnar was great, with lots of fascinating info as he drove and guided us along the rugged terrain that is only accessible in large offroad vehicles. The main event was our hike to the Valahnúkur Viewpoint overlooking Thorsmork, with absolutely stunning views. It was magical. The 3 of us had the mountains to ourselves, or at least it seemed that way. The perfect place to pop the question. This was followed by a delicious Icelandic Hotdog lunch at a camp on the far side of the river. Heading back towards the coast, we had a walk to visit one of the few glacier fronts in the world that is actually growing rather than receding. We had an amazing day. It was definitely worth the cost. Highly recommended.

Amazing first visit to Thorsmörk - We were 4 adults who all loved the variety of experiences during the day tour to Thorsmörk. Most beautiful black sand beach with view of Vestmanna Islands, secret valley and cave, glacier, rivers and the views of Thorsmörk plains. Easy short hikes due to Spring weather which wasnt dry enough for hiking trails. Fun guide with lots of valuable stories and a love for nature and this area!

Great but full day trip well worth every penny - While these tours are an investment, boy are they so worth it. We did a 6 hour tour visiting many amazing places, waterfalls, glaciers and much more. We did a little walking, could have done more but the option was there, as our tour had ages from 70’s down to 12. We were blessed with a warm day with a clear blue sky could not of been better. Fun crossing the fast flowing rivers in their modified minibus. A really friendly driver who kept us informed through out the day in English. It was multi national group with folk from South America, Spain, Germany and us three Brits.

Amazing Highlands Experience with Carlos - We had an amazing experience with Carlos as our guide, he went above and beyond to make this experience unique and magical. Everyone from our group was impressed by his knowledge Iceland and the area we were visiting. This was a truly adventurous tour, and everyone loved it!

Well paced small group tour - Well paced small group tour - plenty of stops for views and pics! A wide variety of scenery especially as the weather changed throughout the day providing us a “black and white” backdrop as well as sunny with blue rivers. We crossed some deep rivers and the super jeep handled it beautifully.
