A Lava’ly experience - I visited Lava as part of an organised tour. I was very impressed by the amount of different exhibits and the way it explained the various types and timelines involved in the whole process. It is well laid out and has enough people who could explain and answer questions.

For Those Who Enjoy Learning - Pretty sure I learned more about lava and volcanoes here in a few hours than in the rest of my life combined. If you like learning, and you'd like to know more about what formed and continues to shape Iceland, this is it. This is a first-rate museum.

Well worth a visit - This is an amazingly well designed museum showing and detailing about the earthquake and volcanic activity in Iceland, both historically and current. It is very interactive, so great for kids and adults alike. We also had lunch at the adjoining cafe which was also very good. Would highly recommend.

Lava centre - The centre had good signage and was easy to navigate . Information as clear and facilities were clean looking. The movie was just a collection of volcano clips with loud music, which was a bit disappointing

a disgrace - save your money, save your time. - Not sure if the other reviews went to completely different exhibition.....this is by far the worst exhibit I have been to. There's a movie which shows previous volcanic eruptions in iceland...no words, no explanation. There's the exhibition section to the museum which is disappointing , just not enough information and the information presented is very poorly explained. We did go to the observation deck but it was cloudy so we didn't see anything. Thankfully there's an overpriced cafeteria & giftshop....The admission fees are high, we were very very disappointed with visit
