A Nighttime Journey to Luxor

The adventure began under the cloak of night, as I was picked up from my hotel in Hurghada at 11 PM. The air was cool and the stars twinkled above as Mohamed, our driver, greeted us with a warm smile. His charming personality quickly put any apprehensions to rest, and the four-hour drive to Luxor passed in a blur of laughter and engaging conversation. As a wildlife photographer, I often find myself in remote locations, but this journey was unique in its own right, offering a different kind of thrill.

Upon arrival in Luxor, we stopped for breakfast at a local restaurant. The food was delightful, but the experience was marred by a few uncomfortable interactions with some of the staff. It’s a reminder that while travel can be magical, it’s not without its challenges. Nevertheless, the anticipation of the hot air balloon ride kept our spirits high.
