Luxor East Tour
Hurghada - Travelers are picked up from hotels, resorts, and apartments around Hurghada. The guide will arrive holding a sign with your name.
Temple of Karnak - The guide will collect you from your hotel, and you’ll drive to visit the largest temple ever built, Karnak Temple, which was constructed over 2,000 years and covers about 63 acres. Enjoy taking photos among its massive pillars and obelisks.
Mummification Museum - Next, visit the Mummification Museum, which offers a comprehensive view of the mummification process through displays of tools, objects, and equipment used in the process. It also explains the ritual and religious significance of the practice. Canopic jars, elaborately decorated coffins, mummified remains, amulets, and statues of deities are among the many objects on display.
Luxor Temple - You will then be transferred to enjoy Luxor Temple on the East Bank of Luxor, where ancient Egyptian, Christian, and Islamic features are exhibited.
Luxor West Bank (Valley of The Kings & Hatshepsut Temple & Colossi of Memnon & Nobles Tombs & Artisans Valley and More)
Valley of the Kings - After breakfast and check-out, start your unforgettable day by driving to the West Bank to visit the Valley of the Kings, where pharaohs from the New Kingdom carved their tombs in the mountains to hide their treasures and protect their mummies.
Howard Carter House - Then drive to the domed mud-brick house where Howard Carter lived during his search for Tutankhamun’s tomb. Surrounded by a garden on a barren slope above the road from Deir Al Bahari to the Valley of the Kings, the house has been restored and decorated with pictures and tools from the excavations. An exact replica of Tutankhamun’s burial chamber has been constructed on the edge of the garden, along with exhibitions related to the discovery of the tomb.
Temple of Hatshepsut at Deir el Bahari - Next, visit the mortuary temple of the famous Queen Hatshepsut at Deir el Bahari to discover her beautiful temple and her intriguing story with her nephew.
Tombs of the Nobles - Luxor - Then move to the Valley of the Nobles, which is a collection of noble tombs in Luxor, such as those of Ramose, Senniffer, Menna, and over 400 Theban nobles. These tombs are marked by numbers and feature beautiful carved scenes. Nestled in the foothills opposite the Ramesseum are more than 400 tombs.
Temple of Medinat Habu - Continue to visit the Medinat Habu Temple of King Ramses III, the last great warrior pharaoh of the New Kingdom (1550 – 1080 B.C). The temple is well-preserved and decorated with military scenes and texts illustrating the king’s victories, as well as rituals performed and festivals celebrated. A royal palace was attached to the temple’s open forecourt, while priests’ dwellings and administrative units lay on either side of the temple.
Valley of the Artisans (Deir el-Medina) - Proceed to visit the Valley of the Artisans and workmen responsible for constructing the royal tombs in the Valley of the Kings during the 18th, 19th, and 20th Dynasties of the New Kingdom period (1550-1080 B.C). Enjoy exploring the ruins of the village settlement, the Ptolemaic temple dedicated to the goddesses Hathor and Maat, consisting of a small building within a mud-brick enclosure wall, and two of the finest decorated tombs of Sennedjem and Inherkau.
Ramesseum (Mortuary Temple of Ramses II) - Then proceed to the Ramesseum Temple, considered the memorial temple (or mortuary temple) of Pharaoh Ramses II. It is located in the Theban Necropolis in Upper Egypt, on the west bank of the River Nile, across from the modern city of Luxor. The design of Ramesses’s mortuary temple adheres to the standard canons of New Kingdom temple architecture.
Habiba Hand Weaving - Then move to Habiba for hand weaving, specializing in hand-woven scarves made from Egyptian cotton, linen, and wool. On-site local hand weavers also sell machine-made scarves and shawls in cotton and cotton mixes. In a rural setting on the West Bank in Luxor, with views of the nobles’ tombs, women still work and make handmade cloth from pure cotton, providing an experience of how women still use handmade machines.
Colossi of Memnon - End your tour on the West Bank with a photo stop in front of the gigantic statues of Memnon.
Hurghada - At the end of the tour, you will drive back to Hurghada.
