Nice. - Good experience without problems and a lot of control. Very safe feeling wherever you are and do. We are definitely going back to Egypt

What a stressful and disturbing experience at Hurghada departures - We have just returned from an amazing holiday in Sahl Hasheesh. The weather was beautiful and the hotel staff were so welcoming. However; we were not prepared for the complete contrast of experience we would receive upon leaving Hurghada. Tui had prepared us for the extra security checks we would receive, but failed to mention about filling out a departure card after check-in. So make sure you have a biro to hand! The initial checks, although repetitive, (as others have mentioned), went ok, however; once through to security we were met with a very intense and uncomfortable atmosphere. My partner and I went seperate ways to join a queue for men and women. The usual checks and screening went ok for my partner, but unfortunately this wasn't the case for me. As soon as my hand luggage had gone through the scanner the staff started shouting frantically in Arabic, one member of staff who was particularly irate and aggressive opened my bag saying I had scissors in there(which wasnt the case) and I was so shocked and appalled to see how he frantically went through all my personal belongings, adamant that I held a confiscated item. Conversations were had by around five members of staff all displaying very intimidating behaviour towards me and making me feel like I was a criminal! My bag now open, went back through the scanner two more times and I was really worried about some jewellry I had in a zipped compartment. Then there appeared on the belt a carrier bag which they put in with my things, claiming it was mine. At this point my partner came over to me to see what was happening and was then made to put his items through the scanner (bearing in mind he had already been cleared to travel!) They still believed I had these pair of scissors! Then another hand luggage bag was put to one side that a gentleman came forward to claim, and it appeared that my case was no longer of interest and I was told in a very abrupt manner to move on. No apology or polite response. I was absolutely astounded! I have never written such a negative review on this site, but really felt I had to share this with you.
