- Valley of the Kings - The journey begins and concludes with your adventure. Accompanying you every step of the way, visit the ancient necropolis of Thebes on Luxor’s West Bank. Explore the remarkable Valley of the Kings, where 63 tombs have been discovered, ranging from a single-chamber crypt (KV54) to a tomb with 120 chambers (KV5). The entrance ticket allows access to three tombs, while separate tickets are needed for the tombs of Tutankhamen and Seti I.
- Temple of Hatshepsut at Deir el Bahari - The tour continues to the rock-carved mortuary Temple of Hatshepsut. Following the death of her husband, Thutmose II, Hatshepsut assumed the throne as either co-regent or self-declared Pharaoh instead of Thutmose III. Regardless, she was a skilled warrior and a strong leader, re-establishing trade routes with foreign nations. Her achievements are inscribed on the walls of her memorial Temple at Deir El-Bahari.
- Colossi of Memnon - Pause at the base of the impressive Colossi of Memnon, two colossal statues overseeing the ongoing excavation of Amenophis III’s palace. These statues represent Pharaoh Amenophis III. Memnon, a hero of the Trojan wars, was said to be the son of Eos, the Goddess of Dawn. An earthquake in 27 BC damaged one statue, and natural forces caused it to “whistle” or “sing” at dawn.
- Temple of Karnak - Visit the Karnak Temple, the second-largest religious temple globally after Cambodia’s Angkor Wat. Construction began approximately 3,500 years ago and concluded in the Ptolemaic era. The Karnak Temple comprises precincts for Amun Re, Mut, and Monsu, featuring holy lakes, hypostyle halls, obelisks, pylons, and shrines. An additional entrance ticket is required for the separate open-air museum and the Mut precinct. Your guide will highlight historical features and allow ample time to explore the ancient walls.
- Luxor Temple - Proceed to the Luxor Temple, dedicated not to a deity or pharaoh but to the Rejuvenation of Kingship and the Opet Festival’s center. Historically, both temples were linked by the sphinx alley, still under excavation. Many pharaohs were crowned here, either in reality or symbolically (like Alexander the Great, who claimed coronation in Thebes but likely never visited the ancient capital). Observe the site’s religious significance, with shrines to the Theban Triad, a Roman chapel later converted into a church, and the Abu Haggag mosque atop the temple. Unlike many travel companies, we offer a comprehensive solution for all your travel needs.
- El Hussein Restaurant - Enjoy a delightful lunch featuring Egyptian cuisine.
