- Valley of the Kings - Discover the First Luxor Attraction: Valley of the Kings
Cross the Nile to explore some of the most remarkable highlights of Luxor’s renowned West Bank with a private tour guide. Visit the Valley of the Kings and explore three tombs.
The Valley of the Kings serves as the final resting place for Egypt’s rulers from the 18th to the 20th dynasty, housing tombs of notable figures like Pharaoh Ramses II and the young Pharaoh Tutankhamen. The tombs were filled with all the material goods a ruler might need in the afterlife, and much of the interior decoration remains well-preserved. Visiting the Tomb of the young Pharaoh Tutankhamen requires an additional fee of 200 Egyptian Pounds.
- Temple of Hatshepsut at Deir el Bahari - The Temple of Hatshepsut:
The Temple of Hatshepsut is one of the most stunning and best-preserved temples of Ancient Egypt, located in Luxor. The temple is constructed on three levels, with two wide ramps centrally positioned to connect the levels. Emerging from the desert plain in a series of terraces, the Temple of Hatshepsut blends seamlessly with the sheer limestone cliffs of the eastern face of the Theban Mountain, as if nature itself crafted this extraordinary monument.
- Colossi of Memnon - Explore the Colossi of Memnon:
The Colossi of Memnon are two enormous stone statues of King Amenhotep III, the only remnants of a once complete mortuary temple. These statues are crafted from blocks of quartzite sandstone, originally located in Cairo and transported 700 KM to Luxor.
Known as the Colossi of Memnon, these statues rise about 18 meters from the plain and are the remains of what was once the largest complex on the west bank, constructed by Amenhotep III.
