- Thanh Toan Bridge - Thanh Toan Bridge is a unique landmark in Vietnam. Visitors to Hue City, in addition to exploring royal tombs, the Hue Imperial City, and pagodas, can also enjoy the breathtaking views of the Vietnamese countryside from this bridge. Historical records indicate that in the 16th century, many individuals from Thanh Hoa Province followed Lord Nguyen Hoang to settle in Thuan Hoa (the former name of Hue). Among these settlers were 12 patriarchs who established Thanh Toan Village.
The construction of Thanh Toan Bridge began in the 18th century. Mrs. Tran Thi Dao, a descendant of the sixth generation of the Tran family in Thanh Toan Village, generously donated funds for the bridge’s construction. The bridge was built and completed in 1776. In addition to funding the bridge, Tran Thi Dao was known for her charitable works, earning her the admiration of the villagers.

VoiRe - The Elephant Springs in Vietnam is a stunning hidden gem. This natural spring, which flows into fresh water pools from a waterfall, is located 53 kilometers from Hue, about an hour’s drive away. It is also just 20 kilometers from the renowned Hai Van Pass, described by Top Gear’s Jeremy Clarkson as “a deserted ribbon of perfection – one of the best coastal roads in the world.” In recent years, it has become a popular spot for tourists and locals to relax, especially on hot days, enjoying beer, food, and fresh water. Despite its popularity, it retains an untouched charm, unlike many other tourist spots.

Lap An Lagoon - A 30-minute drive to the next location (included in the duration), Lap An Lagoon, also known as An Cu Lagoon or Lang Co Lagoon, is a brackish water lagoon with stunning natural beauty located on the banks of Lang Co Bay in Lang Co town, Thua Thien Hue province. It is one of 12 iconic lagoons in central Vietnam! The lagoon’s location is exceptional, situated on the Hai Van – Bach Ma massif, at the boundary of the North and South climate regions. The lagoon’s temperature ranges from 18–31 °C, making it pleasantly cool in the early morning or evening – ideal times to visit Lang Co Lagoon.
-
Hai Van Pass - A 20-minute drive (included in the duration), the Hai Van Pass is arguably the most famous road in Vietnam. This short but scenic route winds around a mountainside above the East Sea on the central coast. Đèo Hải Vân – Ocean Cloud Pass – is renowned for several reasons: as a geographic and political boundary between ancient kingdoms; as a climatic divide between the tropical south and the subtropical north; and as a strategic military post during times of war, both ancient and modern. Recently, the Hai Van Pass has gained fame as a fantastic road trip linking the popular central Vietnamese destinations of Hoi An, Danang, and Hue.
-
The Marble Mountains - Approximately a 1 hour 15 minutes drive. The Marble Mountains are a group of five limestone peaks located seven kilometers from downtown Da Nang. The five karsts (known as Ngu Hanh Son in Vietnamese) are named after the five elements: Kim (metal), Thủy (water), Mộc (wood), Hỏa (fire), and Thổ (earth). Over the centuries, the Marble Mountains have held special significance for the people of Central Vietnam. The ancient Cham revered the karsts as a spiritual site, and Vietnamese emperors from Hue and legendary generals passing through visited the peaks, adding to their rich history.
Today, the Marble Mountains are home to a network of caves, tunnels, towers, and pagodas built by Mahayana Buddhists and the Nguyen Dynasty Kings. The structures and shrines blend seamlessly with nature: Vine tendrils hang from above, frangipani and poinciana trees scatter their blossoms on the stone paths, and the pagodas’ ornate roofs glisten in the tropical sun. It’s a setting that easily captivates the imagination.
