Hiking in Lomas de Lachay - Great trip! Friendly, knowledgeable guide, who was very sole assistance of me and my limited hiking ability. We discussed the environment, local birds, and natural history. The trip was really worthwhile.

Absolutely fascinating!... - Absolutely fascinating! Carlos was a wonderful guide. Knowledgeable, friendly, super accommodating. I’m not that fit and he worked very hard to make sure that I had a good hike. He was knowledgeable about the environment. Interesting drive up and drive back, the trip was about far more than just the fog forest, but also I learned a lot about Lima and the areas we drove through.

Beautiful Wildflower hike in September - The delicious Breakfast was at a local bakery with a wood fire. Eddy, the driver, expertly brought us to Lomas de Lachey. The beautiful blue and yellow wildflowers greeted us at the entrance to the park. The first part of the hike was in the misty fog. At the peak, the sun appeared. On one side was the clear valley, on the other side the mysterious fog. We imagined the Sound of Music through the bird song and the spectacular views. The descent was made easier by the walking sticks Carlos provided and the nicely groomed trails. We highly recommend this tour with Carlos and Eddy!

One of my favorite experiences in Peru! - TLDR: If you are looking for a personalized experience, want to hike but you want to stay in Lima, and you dislike being moved around like cattle, book with this company.
Fair warning: If you are seeking to be on an air conditioned bus and shuttled to a flat walking trail, this experience isn’t for you. Now with that said, for me this experience allowed me to get outside and hike as if I was at home with friends. From start to finish, I felt like I was able to enjoy Lomas de Lachay and the rural areas of Lima without the touristy vibes.
The tour guide, Carlos, made the experience more authentic and wasn’t afraid to talk about Peru’s culture and world/common topics. He made the hike fun and despite not being in the best of shape, I was able to hike the longer trail with ease. The hike, the conversation, and taking in the beauty of the winter in Peru, was a great ending to my time here.

Thanks Carlos for an... - Thanks Carlos for an enjoyable day. While it wasn’t the right time of year to see the green vegetation, I enjoyed having the park to ourselves, the views, the birds and the unusual rock formations.
Also thanks for taking me to taste amazing seafood on the way back.

Best Trip with the Best Guide - My friend and I had the best time with Carlos, he gave us insight to so much of Lomas history and vegetation. We seen so many native birds including an owl, as well as eagles and some cute lizards. We loved the views and thanks to Carlos offering us sunscreen, we didn't experience another sunburn. What a beautiful experience to do this hike on my birthday and basicslly have the park to ourselves since it is Christmas. It was so peaceful and beautiful. Be sure to bring snacks just in case!

A beautiful place just north of Lima - Carlos is a terrific guide, knowledgeable, pleasant, reliable. The lomas are amazing locations for folks who love plants and animals. The landscape there is beautiful. The hike has some steep hills but Carlos is willing to go slow as needed. Highly recommend this day trip.

Great daytrip from Lima, highly recommended! - I can highly recommend going on the Lomas de Lachay tour with Los Cazadunas. The Lomas were beautiful when me and my girlfriend went in October. We saw a lot of wildlife ranging from different birds, insect and reptiles. It was just the two of us on the tour together with our kind and funny guide Carlos. He was very knowledgeable about the area but also peruvian nature in general. Overall a great experience that i would recommend to anyone looking for an interesting daytrip from Lima.

Highly recommend this Lomas de Lachay hike - This was such a good booking! Highly recommend this excursion. Me and my brother did this trip in winter time so the Lomas were full of flora because of the fog. We learned a lot and got some really great pictures and views on the hike. It was a long but not difficult hike which was worth the time. Our guide got us breakfast, let us find some rocks to go bouldering and was very accommodating to make our trip awesome.
