Tunxi Ancient Street - After being picked up and having a brief rest, you will be guided on a tour of Tunxi Old Street, a vibrant commercial street from the Song dynasty. Here, you can purchase local specialties and immerse yourself in the rich Huizhou culture by engaging with the Chinese four treasures: writing and painting brushes, black ink, xuan paper, and ink stones/slabs.

Liyang Street - This area is known as the ancient harbor and is home to local residents. Locals affectionately refer to it as “Water Street” due to its historic canals, brooks, and opera stages on both water and land, which are still in use today. It’s an ideal spot to enjoy a cup of tea or beer after a day’s work. The night lights add a charming and mysterious allure to the area, making it hard to leave.

Fairy Mountain Pilgrimage

Hongcun Ancient Village - Before heading up the mountain, we will visit a filming location of “Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon” to avoid long waits for the cable car and shuttle bus. Here, you will truly experience Chinese Fengshui and its influence on local life. The village feels like stepping into a Chinese pastoral painting, offering peace and tranquility, seemingly untouched by the outside world for over 800 years. Each elder is like a book to read, and each alley a maze to explore.

Mt. Huangshan - At noon, we will begin our exploration of the mountain via the Yungu cableway, originally a mountain temple. Photographers often liken Huangshan Mountain to a baby face due to its ever-changing appearance. You will be amazed by the unique pine trees, diverse flora and fauna, and the oddly shaped stones and rocks that are steeped in fascinating Chinese legends. The sea of clouds, clear hot springs, and stunning views will captivate you. During the day, you will hike to Beginning-to-believe Peak, Lion Peak, and watch the sunset from either Purple Peak or Cloud Dispelling Pavilion. If you have the energy, you can trek at least two circuits inside the West Sea/Xihai Grand Canyon on your own.

Mountain Spirit - Hot Springs and Wooden Bridges

Mt. Huangshan - If the weather allows, watch the sunrise on your own from Refreshing Terrace (a 20-30 minute walk from the hotel) or Purple Peak (a 15-20 minute walk from the hotel). After breakfast, we will continue hiking to White Goose Ridge to see the three main highest peaks on Huangshan Mountain.

Huangshan Hot Spring - After descending from the mountain, you have the option to either enjoy the natural hot springs in the valley or hike independently through the bamboo forest and small waterfalls.
