The journey starts with a sail to the stunning Skjálfandi Bay, home to a variety of whale species. Visitors can expect to see Humpback whales, Minke whales, White-beaked dolphins, and porpoises, among others. Over 10 different species make their way to Skjálfandi annually!
The swift RIB boats enhance the chances of a close encounter with these magnificent creatures, covering extensive distances during the trip. With a maximum of 12 passengers on board, everyone is guaranteed a fantastic view.
The tour includes a visit to Lundey (Puffin Island)*, famous for its large population of these beloved birds. Guests will also explore the Tjörnes peninsula, renowned for its fossil layers, with the oldest dating back two million years!
This excursion includes an expert whale-watching guide, a captain, a warm water-resistant overall suit, and a life vest. Don’t forget to bring your hat and gloves – the bay can be quite chilly!
