The adventure begins in Ísafjörður, where the route includes traversing two underground tunnels (yes, beneath mountains), ascending scenic peaks, and skirting the edges of breathtaking fjords.

The highlight of the trip is the magnificent Dynjandi waterfall, which roars majestically in the Arnarfjörður fjord. There will be a stop for about an hour, allowing participants to either hike to its base for a closer view or simply enjoy the scenery from the parking area if “relax and snack” is more appealing than “hike and sweat.”

If conditions permit, the journey will conclude with a drive over one of the stunning mountain roads, either Hrafnseyrarheiði or Álftamýrarheiði, which are open only in the summer for the most daring adventurers. If these roads are inaccessible, the return to Ísafjörður will be through tunnels, embracing the spirit of subterranean exploration.
