The tour itself was very good, so were the guiders, they did their job well. However, one of the guiders was making our entire visit less pleasant: once we get on the shuttle bus, he started the talk with a question "Is there anyone served or serving the US military?" A mid-aged man raised his hand. ... "We appreciate your contribution ..." so far it is understandable to us, although we don't know why a greeting start with this topic, then the guider (J) said:"US is the country of freedom, 'something comparing US to the other countries", still, understandable --- an US citizen loves his country. When we start changing the suit for wild cave, J talked with us in Chinese "Where are you from?". "China". I moved on to the next room, several minutes later, my friend came and told me J served in US army before and his story/history which he felt quite proud of. Still, respect your feeling and beliefs. Then we went to the cave. Between each small tours, visitors would be gathered together so the guiders can give some instructions for the next steps. However, basically each time, J talked something in Chinese, then turn around talking to the US people something like: I know you are probably worry about some hygiene issue or have food concerns when I was speaking Chinese ...haha! just kidding...." Excuse me? It is not interesting to us! He might make one or two people who like these wield "jokes" laugh, but it is very uncomfortable to us, let alone there were a couple of times. My English is not as good as a native speaker, probably there was something I misunderstood, J knows for what purpose those jokes were made or what exactly he said. We came the Mammoth cave for a travel and we are all students in an university, why would we suffer those political or even 'offensive' talking when we were in a tour? Yes, the wild cave tour is amazing, we appreciate the guiders' help and work, but truly at least half of the please was taken away by those purpose-oriented talks. You might agree with your employee and think the US is a great country. In many ways, we think so too, but politeness is common thing around the world I think? Or once again I will be told :" This is America, we say whatever we want."

The horseback trail ride was amazing! The tour guide was super friendly and helped me feel safe. It was obvious he loved the horses and his job. The trail took me by surprise at first, seemed a little scary as I was a first time rider. Within a few short minutes I felt completely safe and comfortable. Loved it! It was a mother/ daughter day and we has the best time. Definitely want to do this again!

Sam, the Lead on our Trail Ride really took the time to pair our three kids with the right horse. All three kids have little to no experience and he really showed great patience and the ability to relate / teach them. Also took us on a Ride with actual terrain and we were left fascinated by how the horses maneuver across the land. Great time. Sam is the best.
