• Samaria Gorge National Park - You will be picked-up early in the morning from your hotel by bus and transferred to Xyloscalo, the entrance of Samaria Gorge, from where we will begin the hiking.
• Agia Roumeli - At the end of the gorge, we will reach the magnificent beachside village of Agia Roumeli, from where we will sail to Sfakia or Sougia. There, our bus we will be waiting for us, in order to be transferred back to your hotel.

Prepare for a full-day of hiking at the Samaria Gorge in Crete. We’ll journey into Crete’s White Mountains via air-conditioned coach to arrive at the imposing entrance of the gorge, one of the longest in Europe.

We begin our journey to Samaria Gorge early in the morning, setting off for Omalos. During the bus ride, our guide will impart helpful details about the region, its history, the formation of the White Mountains, local plant and animal life, as well as safety guidelines and rules to follow inside the gorge. We’ll break briefly for refreshments on route before continuing to Xyloskalo, the entrance to the Gorge.

The hike is self-guided, so you can traverse the gorge at your preferred speed. Upon the hike’s completion, you’ll find yourself in the beautiful beach village of Agia Roumeli, home to one of the most untouched beaches in southern Crete. Our coach will be awaiting your return at either Sfakia or Sougia, which you reach by boat from Agia Roumeli.
