Scenic, Relaxing, and the Perfect Way to End the Day! - We had a fantastic time thanks in large part to our guide, Luke. He was knowledgeable, personable, and attentive throughout the day. Luke shared great stories and local insight, striking the perfect balance between informative and relaxed. He was also incredibly tuned in to the group’s pace and interests, making everyone feel comfortable and cared for. From the breathtaking waterfalls to the well-chosen winery, everything felt smooth and thoughtfully planned. You can tell Luke truly enjoys what he does—and it made the experience even better. Highly recommend this tour—and if you get Luke, you're in great hands!

Delightful tour of waterfalls combined with a wine tasting - This afternoon we went on a most enjoyable Evergreen Escapes tour of Waterfalls in the Colombia Gorge. We ended the day with a visit to a local winery where we were able to try several local wines. Our guide was Luke Bender who did an excellent job. As on all Evergreen Escapes tours, there was an ample supply of snacks and drinks. This was the fifth tour that we have taken with Evergreen Escapes—and are happy to recommend it without hesitation.

- It was a great tour. The waterfalls, the views of the Columbia Gorge, and the wine tasting were excellent. The best part of the trip, though, was our guide, Luke. He was friendly, knowledgeable, and learned & used everyone’s names throughout the day. He couldn’t have been a better guide for the day, as well as giving us suggestions about things to do and eat around Portland.

Columbia River Gorge Waterfall tour - Luke was an amazing guide. Very knowledgeable about the area and the history/formation of the attractions. The falls were beautiful and we were able to hike a bit for even more stunning views. The bus was comfortable and Luke provided good snacks and drinks- it was in the 90s when we went so the AC felt divine. It was a long day but the short trips broke it up so it went fast. The winery was small, locally owned and fantastic. A good variety of whites and reds. I’d highly recommend this tour because you’re able to see so many waterfalls, see the mountains, learn a lot, enjoys so wine all in a few hours

Waterfalls and a great guide- worth seeing anytime! - A kind guide with great experiance, lovely local knowledge, and a desire to learn more where he can. All great qualities not just in a person, but in a tour as well. Luke was one of the best tour leads I've had in recent memory. He also made sure to do his best to give good experiances if anything went off, as well as make this accessable to all of us, even those disabled. Something I personally really approciate as a dosabled woman.

A day I won’t forget! - What an amazing experience it was to go on a waterfall and wine tour with Evergreen Escapes Portland! As someone who has lived in Portland for 3 years, I had been to a few waterfalls in the gorge, but I was excited to see more and also have never been on a guided tour in Oregon. The tour was an amazing way to see the beautiful landscape of the gorge and also learn a lot of its history. I was able to see waterfalls I had never been to and experience the ones I had seen in a new way. It was great not having to drive, plan or coordinate everything. It is a really nice experience to just be able to sit back and enjoy! Not to mention the incredible wine tasting! Our tour guide Luke was the icing on the cake - his knowledge and genuine personality made it extra memorable. What an incredible day!

Memorable Tour and Guide - Luke was an amazing guide from the start. He made us all feel very comfortable along the way offering coffee, tea, snacks, and water. I recommend this company, but particularly Luke as guide his knowledge and great/kind personality. As we made our way, he shared history. Such as how the historic Columbia River Highway came about- how the Bonneville flood impacted the landscape, how Portland’s Women’s Forum made efforts to reserve what we can still visit today, and so much more. We even got to nerd out and identify plant species and animals on the drive as well as on the small hikes to the waterfalls. Unfortunately we didn’t see Bigfoot! As if beautiful waterfalls weren’t enough to make for a perfect day, Luke took us all to a winery for a wine tasting. Already considering booking another tour.
