• Solomon Islands Memorial Garden - This tour begins at the Solomon Islands Memorial Garden, located east of Honiara at Henderson Field, the site of the Battle of Guadalcanal. The garden is a beautiful place to visit and reflect on the events of WWII. It is adorned with candle trees and various plaques commemorating soldiers who died in the Solomon Islands during the war. The plaques are thoughtfully arranged, creating a poignant atmosphere that evokes reflection on the past. There are no graves here; the site is simple, serene, and lush. Visitors can take photos, ask questions, sit on benches to reflect, or pause for a moment of silence to honor those who passed. It’s a moment to express gratitude. Please remove any head coverings upon entry. Admission is free, and the garden is spacious enough to accommodate over twenty people.

• Holy Cross Cathedral - The next stop is the Holy Cross Cathedral, situated in the heart of Honiara on a hill near the Town Council office. This is where Roman Catholics gather for Sunday worship. Visitors can disembark to explore the cathedral, converse with the local priest if available, and take photographs.

• The National Parliament - Known locally as the “round haus,” the National Parliament is located on Vaivaridge Hill. Visitors can tour the parliament house when no meetings are in session and take photos. The tour guide will provide a brief history of the current and past governments.

• Solomon Islands National Museum - At this stop, the tour guide will accompany visitors to the museum, where they can explore, take photos, and chat with the caretaker.

• Sir Jacob Vouza Monument - Sir Jacob Vouza was a notable native hero of Guadalcanal during WWII. A monument in his honor stands in front of the Police Headquarters in Rove, West Honiara. Visitors can take photos and inquire about the statue.

• National Art Gallery - The National Art Gallery in Honiara is a vibrant center showcasing the diverse arts and crafts of the Solomon Islands. Items for sale include carvings, local jewelry, handbags, shopping bags, clothing, and more. Local eateries are also available. Visitors can take photos and purchase items from local vendors.

• Solomon Scouts & Coastwatchers Memorial - Situated near the seaport in Honiara, this monument honors the bravery of scouts and coastwatchers who provided crucial intelligence to the Allies during WWII. Visitors can take photos and learn about their contributions.

• Honiara Central Market - Located in the heart of Honiara, the Central Market is the city’s busiest spot. Farmers from Guadalcanal and nearby provinces gather here to sell their produce. Visitors can find fresh vegetables, fruits, and root crops, and sample local fruits like green coconuts, peanuts, and yellow bananas. Purchases are also welcome.

• Kokonut Pacific Solomon Islands - Visitors can tour the local coconut oil factory, known for producing the Solomon’s renowned Kosi products (body oil, hair oil, body lotion, mosquito repellent), as well as local chocolate products made from raw cocoa fruits.

This tour takes you on a sightseeing ride around Honiara City.
Focusing mainly on significant landmarks, Cathedrals, shopping centers and central market. During the tour travelers can ask questions, take pictures, ask for directions and request for quick stops.

A local tour guide will provide a brief overview of the sites, answer any questions and translate from Pidgin to English when needed.
