Definitely do if you are in Shanghai! - Nice experience the tour in Shanghai!
We could not find the starting location well and were picked up personally from the metro station. Then we could also choose whether we wanted to go by bike or e-scooter. Have chosen the e-scooter and this was super fun.
Definitely recommended!

Relaxed way to understand... - Relaxed way to understand more about the city with a local guide that shows you some great locations and to get a feel about life in Shanghai. Fang Fang was the best guide, showing us her city along bike friendly roads and viewpoints.
We notified the team that we were going to be 20min late, and they promptly arranged a tour for us once we finally arrived!

Great bike tour of Shanghai - The bike ride with Julia was great! I unfortunately caught a sneaky taxi driver, which is why I was late for the tour and therefore had a private tour with Julia. She took very good care of me, has super much knowledge of the city and showed me a lot. She is very outgoing, so we had conversation topics throughout. It was very interesting to compare our different cultures. The snack on the way was very delicious. In two places we got off the bike and also strolled around a bit. I highly recommend the tour! I also felt very safe on the way, even if the traffic is really not without.

A nice way to see Shanghai - We had a good time on our tour with May. The biking was fun and we were able to cover a lot of ground during the 4 hour tour. Would recommend to others looking for an active way to explore the city.

Wonderful tour, amazing experience. - The tour took us around different areas of Shanghai, showing us the history of the city and how it has changed over time. We had a lot of fun, it was relaxed and the bikes were great. The tour allowed us to plan out what to do for the rest of our time in Shanghai. Stro fly recommend starting your visit to this city with this tour.

Charming indeed :) - What a great way to see Shanghai. I'd recommend this as a introduction to Shanghai. It definitely showed me the multi cultural influence of Shanghai. Its beautiful to see the city lights while cycling at your own leisure. Mayfer was a great tour guide and informative. Thank you !

Awesome night views - The tour was a creative way to see the city. I recommend doing this tour at the beginning of your trip that way you can get an idea which places you want to return to during the day. The tour guide spoke great English and was very informative and Chinese history and about the different neighborhoods in the city. I enjoyed the exercise and the food stop along the way. I would highly recommend. Make sure to be well rested since the tour lasts a couple of hours!

Mayfer is ABSOLUTELY the tour guide... -
Mayfer is ABSOLUTELY the tour guide for you if you want a rollicking great time. She speaks good English, takes you on a really nice long tour, gives you tons of neat anecdotes and is generally hilarious. Get ready for a workout though....you really get your moneys worth on this bike tour. She also stops whenever and wherever you want, in case you want to grab a bite, drink or dance on the street with locals! Definitely ask for Mayfer if you can though :

Nice bike ride with guide on the chaotic streets of Shanghai - Mei was our very enthusiastic guide, and her English was excellent. She was very informative and a good shepherd through the heart of the city. She's got some hookups so we got to ride in some usually-inaccessible places, which was very cool.
The entire ride was about 15 miles, so make sure you're in good enough shape for that. The bikes are urban cruisers with one speed, but there were only really one or two short hills to negotiate. It's VERY urban, and though there is much less traffic at night you still have to be somewhat confident riding among cars and scooters. You WILL be riding in a place where road users do not always follow the rules (a category you may also fall under at some points during the tour).
It's not really a foodie tour--we only stopped at one dumpling restaurant and shared some large plates of jiaozi. It was more of an overview of history tour with a few photo ops and one dinner-like stop.
It's a good tour to get a light history of Shanghai and to decide on the sights you want to explore more on your own later. The start/end point is pretty far north of everything, so the first and last 3 miles seem kind of a waste. It would be much better to start closer to the center.
Towards the end it felt like we were just racing back to the start point (the end time varies based on how long the group chooses to linger at each stop, etc. but we got back at 10:45pm). The group was stretched out over some distance by then, as some were too tired to keep up with Mei's pace. But we all regrouped at the finish.
The tour does end pretty late, so be prepared for the fact that the subway may be closed and to take a taxi or Didi (Chinese Uber).
