Great food tour and service - Had a great food tour with Trang. She took us on a lovely walk of Hanoi, and managed to accommodate vegans and vegetarians (no easy task in Hanoi!) She also organised our airport bus trips there and back super efficiently. Would strongly recommend you take advantage of this as well.

A "food tour" - a culinary experience combined with visiting the scenic spots of Hanoi - I returned to Vietnam after 2 years, my wife and I are still very impressed with Hanoi food. So this time back to Vietnam, we immediately chose a "food tour" - a culinary experience combined with visiting the scenic spots of Hanoi with some places such as: Dong Xuan Market, Hoan Kiem Lake. , Old Town and Ngoc Son Temple. The most impressive is probably Pho Hanoi and Caffe here. In Sydney they also sell pho but not as good as Hanoi pho. The broth here is very fragrant, has a lot of vegetables and I especially like the coriander of the pho. We also do not forget the bowl of pho tiu at Dong Xuan market that we enjoyed the previous morning. Hanoi cuisine is very interesting, healthy because of many vegetables and always fresh. The chefs here prepare seasonal dishes very well. This is my first time eating sidewalk sticky rice and banh xeo but it was delicious and I think I will eat more often. The guide group I have recommended a lot, behind their great cuisine is an incredibly beautiful and human culture.

Hanoi Weekend Night Market Food Tour - This tour is a must do when in Hanoi. We booked a private weekend night market tour and were lucky enough to have Trang as our guide. She was a great guide, pointing out landmarks in the Old Quarter and telling us about culture. Moreover we were impressed by her great English, local knowledge & a sense of humour. We tried plenty of iconic Hanoi dishes while strolling through the busy night market, such as banh mi, grilled banana with sticky reis, soft tofu dessert, fresh exotic fruits & many other delicious dishes. The price is very fair too - you’d easily pay that for the food alone in a decent restaurant. All in all, highly recommended and a great introduction to Hanoi.

Not as much food on this food tour as I was expecting... - First stop was a restaurant offering a buffet that was half western food. I didn’t eat much, wanting to save room for local food. We got a coconut water, walked past a church, got coffee at a huge chain (highland coffee), then visited the lake temple. I asked where we were going next and was told the tour was over! We had only done two hours - no market, no local food, and not really any learning about Hanoi. I felt like I could have done those things on my own and didn’t get the local perspective or knowledge. I mentioned I was still hungry and we went to a street cafe for noodle soup, which was amazing - but apart from that, the tour wasn’t really as described.
