Sapa - Between 6:30 and 7:00 AM, guests will depart from their Hanoi hotel via the Topas Mountain Express for a 5-hour transfer to Topas Ecolodge. Upon checking into their bungalow, they can enjoy the stunning and tranquil views of the surrounding mountains and valleys from their private balcony.

Topas Ecolodge - The afternoon walk begins at Topas Ecolodge along a quiet road offering a spectacular view of the rice terraces below. Guests will then take a gentle ascent to Lech village, where they will visit a traditional wooden house, meet the welcoming Red Dao hosts, and observe their daily lifestyle. The Red Dao women, following their ancestors’ traditions, shave their hair and eyebrows and wear vibrant costumes. They are renowned for their exquisite handmade embroidery. On the return to Topas Ecolodge, guests will walk along small trails through rice terraces and cross a suspension bridge, providing excellent photo opportunities of the natural landscape. The guide will share insights into the local farmers’ fascinating cultivation practices.

Discover the Most Remote Area of Sapa (B,L,-)

Topas Riverside Lodge - After a delightful breakfast, guests will prepare for the day’s walk. At 8:30 AM, the excursion begins with a transfer deeper into Hoang Lien National Park to the trek’s starting point near Sin Chai village. Here, guests will be “off the beaten track,” enjoying breathtaking views of high mountains, waterfalls, and deep valleys. The trails will lead to the Red Dao village of Nam Nhiu, where visitors can meet the villagers, explore their homes, and learn about their daily lives. Leaving the village, guests will follow a small dirt trail, soon inspired by the magnificent view of the rice valley dotted with bamboo huts used by local farmers as overnight lodges during harvest. After passing rice terraces and a river, guests will walk along a quiet road before reaching Nam Cang village. Lunch will be served at Topas Riverside Lodge, with the jungle behind and the river in front.

Liên Minh - Nam Cang village is situated in the most remote area of Sapa. The Red Dao women wear some of the most colorful and diverse costumes among Vietnam’s ethnic groups. They are highly skilled in herbal baths, local medicine, and embroidery. Accompanied by a guide, guests will explore the village and learn how locals create writing paper, jewelry, and embroidery. A swim in the river is also an option later. At 14:15, guests will be transferred back to Topas Ecolodge, where they may wish to book a traditional Red Dao herbal bath at the lodge’s spa.

Departing the Mountains and Returning to Hanoi (B,-,-)

Topas Ecolodge - The morning is free for guests to enjoy at Topas Ecolodge. They can relax or borrow high-quality mountain bikes from the lodge at no charge to explore the surrounding areas.

Hanoi - The Topas Mountain Express departs from Sapa at 13:15 and from Topas Ecolodge at 14:30, returning guests to their hotel in Hanoi.
