Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum - Explore the Ho Chi Minh complex, where visitors can view the embalmed body of Ho Chi Minh and stroll through the garden to see the two houses where he lived and worked from 1954 to 1969. Then, visit the One Pillar Pagoda, dedicated to the Goddess of Mercy – it is considered the most unique pagoda in the world.
¬ Visitors should dress modestly, covering from shoulders to knees, when visiting the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, temples, and pagodas.
¬ The Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum is closed on Mondays and Fridays.
¬ The Mausoleum is closed for at least two months (15th June - 15th August) for annual maintenance, but visitors can still take pictures of the Mausoleum and explore the surrounding area. - Vietnam Museum of Ethnology - Visit the Vietnam Ethnology Museum to discover the culture of the 54 ethnic groups residing throughout Vietnam.
Special Note: On Mondays, the Women’s Museum will be visited instead of the Ethnology Museum, which is closed.
- Temple of Literature & National University - After a 60-minute lunch break, the tour continues to the Temple of Literature – Vietnam’s first university, established in the 11th century.
- Hoa Lo Prison - Proceed to the Hoa Lo Prison Museum, originally used by French colonists in Indochina for political prisoners, and later by North Vietnam for U.S. prisoners of war during the Vietnam War. During this period, it was known to American POWs as the Hanoi Hilton.
The tour concludes with the driver returning guests to the starting point.
