Hang Gai Street (Street of Hemp) - Between 7:15am and 7:30am, the tour guide and vehicle will collect guests from their hotels in Hanoi’s Old Quarter for the journey to Ninh Binh. A brief stop will be made along the way to stretch.
Hoa Lu Temples of the Dinh & Le Dynasties - Upon reaching Ninh Binh around 11:00am, visitors will explore temples honoring King Dinh Tien Hoang (923-979) and Le Dai Hanh (941-1005). The tour guide will provide insights into Vietnam’s 10th-century history.
Ninh Binh Mountain Side Homestay & Cafe - At 12:00, continue the bus ride to Tam Coc for lunch, capturing photos of the picturesque villages and landscapes en route.
Tam Coc - At 13:30, board sampans to explore Tam Coc (Three Caves). The boat journey through towering limestone karsts amidst lush rice fields creates lasting memories. Around 15:30, enjoy a leisurely bike ride on country roads around the village, offering a memorable experience.
Mua Caves - Arrive at Mua Cave and embark on an exhilarating hike to the summit of Ngoa Long Mountain (Lying Dragon Mountain) to admire the breathtaking rice valley and natural vistas. A tranquil road between rice paddies leads to this cave (meaning ‘Cave of Dance’), which, while not particularly striking, offers panoramic views from the peak. A stone staircase near the cave entrance winds through the karst (watch out for goat droppings) and consists of nearly 500 steps leading to a simple altar dedicated to Quan Am (the Goddess of Mercy). Look west to see the Ngo Dong River meandering through Tam Coc. Proceed to Tam Coc for check-in at the Bungalow/Hotel.
Tam Coc - Cuc Phuong - Galaxy Cave - Hanoi (B/L)
Cúc Phương NP Reception (Phòng bán vé) - At 8:30, after breakfast, check out of the hotel and transfer to Cuc Phuong National Park, Vietnam’s first and largest national park. The park is home to a diverse array of flora and fauna, including 97 mammal species, notably endangered langurs; 300 bird species; 36 reptilian species; 17 amphibian species; 11 fish species; 2,000 vascular plant species, and thousands of insect species, most of which are non-biting. Several species in the park are listed in Vietnam’s Red Book of endangered species.
Endangered Primate Rescue Centre - Visit the Endangered Primate Rescue Center to observe langurs, monkeys, and gibbons in their natural habitat. Professional staff work to protect these primates from extinction, maintaining an environment that closely resembles their natural surroundings. Primates in the park include macaques, gibbons, Francois’ leaf monkeys, and slow lorises. Lunch will be served at a restaurant in the center of Cuc Phuong National Park.
Thousand Year Old Tree - This ancient tree, standing approximately 45 meters tall, has a diameter four times that of the Dang ancient tree. It takes at least 20 adults with outstretched arms to fully encircle the trunk. Trek about 3 km to witness this remarkable natural wonder.
Cave of Prehistoric Man - The Cave of Prehistoric Man is a significant archaeological site within Cuc Phuong National Park, showcasing the remains of prehistoric human habitation. It is a short 300-meter walk from the main road, followed by a climb of about fifty steps up the stone stairs to reach the cave entrance.
Hang Gai Street (Street of Hemp) - At 16:00, return to the vehicle for the drive back to Hanoi. After a 2.5-hour journey, guests will be dropped off at their hotel around 18:00, marking the end of the trip!
