Hang Gai Street (Street of Hemp) - Between 7:15am and 7:30am, the tour guide and vehicle will pick up guests from their hotels in Hanoi’s Old Quarter, departing for Ninh Binh. A short break will be taken along the way to stretch.
Hoa Lu Temples of the Dinh & Le Dynasties - Upon arriving in Ninh Binh around 11:00am, visitors will explore temples dedicated to King Dinh Tien Hoang (923-979) and Le Dai Hanh (941-1005). The tour guide will provide an introduction to Vietnam’s 10th-century history.
Ninh Binh Mountain Side Homestay & Cafe - At 12:00, continue the bus journey to Tam Coc for lunch. Along the way, capture photos of the villages and breathtaking landscapes.
Tam Coc - At 13:30, board sampans to explore Tam Coc (Three Caves). The boat journey through massive limestone karsts rising from the lush rice fields creates lasting memories. Around 15:30, enjoy a leisurely bike ride on country roads around the village, offering a wonderful experience.
Mua Caves - Arrive at Mua Cave and embark on an exhilarating hike to the top of Ngoa Long Mountain (Lying Dragon Mountain) to admire the stunning rice valley and the natural beauty. The cave, known as the ‘Cave of Dance,’ may not be overly impressive, but the panoramic views from the peak are breathtaking. A stone staircase beside the cave entrance winds through the karst (watch out for goat droppings), leading to a simple altar to Quan Am (the Goddess of Mercy) after nearly 500 steps. Look west to see the Ngo Dong River meandering through Tam Coc. Proceed to Tam Coc for check-in at the Bungalow/Hotel.
Tam Coc - Cuc Phuong - Galaxy Cave - Hanoi (B/L)
Cúc Phương NP Reception (Phòng bán vé) - At 8:30, after breakfast, check out of the hotel and transfer to Cuc Phuong National Park, Vietnam’s first and largest national park. The park is home to a diverse range of flora and fauna, including 97 mammal species, notably the endangered langurs; 300 bird species; 36 reptilian species; 17 amphibian species; 11 fish species; 2,000 vascular plant species, and thousands of insect species, most of which are non-biting. Several species in the park are listed in Vietnam’s Red Book of endangered species.
Endangered Primate Rescue Centre - Visit the Endangered Primate Rescue Center to observe langurs, monkeys, and gibbons in their natural habitat. Professional staff work to protect these primates from extinction, maintaining an environment that closely resembles their natural surroundings. The park’s primates include macaques, gibbons, Francois’ leaf monkeys, and slow lorises. Lunch will be served at a restaurant in the center of Cuc Phuong National Park.
Thousand Year Old Tree - This ancient tree, standing around 45 meters tall, has a diameter four times that of the Dang ancient tree. It takes at least 20 adults with outstretched arms to fully encircle the trunk. Trek approximately 3 km to witness this remarkable natural wonder.
Cave of Prehistoric Man - The Cave of Prehistoric Man is a significant archaeological site, showcasing the residential remains of prehistoric humans—a valuable heritage of Cuc Phuong National Park. It requires a 300-meter walk from the main road, followed by a climb of about fifty steps up the stone stairs to reach the cave entrance.
Hang Gai Street (Street of Hemp) - At 16:00, return to the vehicle for the journey back to Hanoi. After a 2.5-hour drive, guests will arrive back in Hanoi, with drop-off at their hotel around 18:00. The trip concludes here!
