• Old Quarter - 07:30 - 08:00 The guide will collect guests from hotels in Hanoi’s Old Quarter. The journey begins with a 110km drive in a comfortable limousine through lush landscapes, with a rest stop along the way. For those staying outside the Old Quarter, please meet at the Hanoi Opera House at 7:50 am to join the tour group (note that the Opera House is a meeting point, not a tour site).
• Hoa Lu Temples of the Dinh & Le Dynasties - 10:30 Explore the ancient Citadel of Hoa Lu, featuring the King Dinh Temple from the 10th Century. This former capital offers numerous historical sites, including temples dedicated to the emperors and royals who ruled over 1000 years ago. Hoa Lu still preserves remnants of the ancient fortress built by the Dinh dynasty. The Imperial Palace, buried 3 meters underground, is a fascinating site to visit. The tour continues with a 30-minute bike ride through a rural village to experience local life. This biking activity is optional and free, offering a chance to enjoy the serene rural scenery. Those not interested in biking can explore the area on foot or relax at a restaurant.
• Trang An Landscape Complex - A popular activity in Trang An is a boat tour through its complex waterways, surrounded by towering limestone karsts and lush greenery. Tours start at Trang An Wharf, where visitors board small rowboats guided by local boatwomen or boatmen. As you glide along the emerald waters, you’ll be captivated by the stunning scenery, including dramatic limestone cliffs, tranquil caves adorned with stalactites and stalagmites, and vibrant foliage reflected in the clear river.

During the boat ride, travelers can explore several caves and grottoes, each with unique features and legends. Notable caves include Hang Điệp Sơn, Hang Sửng Sốt, and Hang Tối (Dark Cave). The boat guides often share intriguing stories and folklore about these natural wonders, enhancing the magical experience.

• Tam Cốc-Bích Động - After lunch, the group visits Tam Coc. Enjoy a sampan boat trip rowed by locals along the Ngo Dong River, capturing the stunning scenery of karst hills, rice fields, and peaceful villages, passing through “Hang Ca” (First Grotto), “Hang Hai” (Second Grotto), and “Hang Ba” (Third Grotto). This boat trip promises to create wonderful memories.
• Mua Caves - Arrive at Mua Cave and embark on an exhilarating hike to the top of Ngoa Long Mountain (Lying Dragon Mountain) for a spectacular view of the rice valley and natural beauty. The cave, meaning ‘Cave of Dance,’ may not be impressive, but the panoramic views from the peak are breathtaking. A stone staircase beside the cave entrance zigzags through the karst (watch out for goat droppings) and leads to a simple altar to Quan Am (the Goddess of Mercy) after almost 500 steps. Look west to see the Ngo Dong River winding through Tam Coc. The climb is paved but steep in parts, so bring water and allow an hour for the round trip.
• Cuc Phuong National Park - Upon arrival at the park gate, obtain entrance tickets and proceed to the Park Center. First, visit the “Cave of Pre-historic Man,” a limestone cave excavated in 1966, revealing early human habitation with graves, stone axes, bone-made spears, and tools dating back 7,500 years. Continue to the park center for lunch at a house-on-stilts. Take a short trek into the National Park to explore the flora and fauna of Vietnam’s oldest forest, including a 1000-year-old ancient tree. The next stop is the “Endangered Primate Rescue Centre,” a non-profit organization focused on the rehabilitation, breeding, research, and conservation of endangered primates and their habitats.
• Bai Dinh Pagoda - Continue to the Bai Dinh Pagoda complex, the largest in Vietnam and Southeast Asia. Set scenically at the foot of Dinh Mountain, it offers breathtaking views of the exquisite river valley and surrounding limestone karsts. After disembarking from the electric car at the entrance gate, walk with the tour guide to explore the pagoda and learn about Buddhism.
• Tam Coc Green Garden Restaurant - Enjoy a buffet lunch at a local restaurant featuring a variety of local dishes such as goat meat, fried rice, and rice crackers, with vegetarian options available.
• Old Quarter - After all activities, return to the tour bus for the journey back to Hanoi. Guests will be dropped off at their hotels or the meeting point (Hanoi Opera House), concluding around 19:30 - 19:45. End of service!
