Great day trip to Halong Bay - Viktor is a fantastic guide - experienced, organized, attentive, and funny. The bus transport to the limo was very spacious and comfortable with wifi available the whole way. The boat itself was also very modern, the multi-course lunch was tasty. Kayaking/cooking class activities were fun.

Recommend - Great experience! Pick up and drop off in Hanoi in a comfortable bus. Everything ran on time, food was good and the catamaran was spacious. Activities to take part in, or the option to just relax on the deck and enjoy the sights (they are stunning!) Good option for a one-day tour of Ha Long Bay.

Amazing experience. Well worth the upgrade - We paid a little more for a private transfer from Hanoi to Ha Long Bay. The boat had 60 people or so and plenty of room to sit and lounge while we sailed through Ha Long Bay. We really enjoyed the Kayak trip, but it was a little too cold for swimming this time. Love the scenery and the ability to cat the sunset. Super easy pick up and drop off. I think with a little more money we bought a very relaxed atmosphere and experience. Totally worth the upgrade

What an amazing afternoon... - What an amazing afternoon on the water. Viktor and the staff of the boat were all first class. The meal was to die for the service was impeccable. The kayaking was a lot of fun and the water slides...woohoo!!! Viktor was super kind to film the experience and share it with us. Spend the money and enjoy an unforgettable experience.

Good experience. The bus... - Good experience. The bus picks you up from your accommodation and then it is a 2 hour trip to Halong Bay with a couple of rest stops. Our guide was really nice. Did this end of December so slightly cool on the bay. The boat was nice, everyone was seated. Staff on board was very nice. Nothing luxurious about the boat, you can see the wear and tear. For us Halong was a complete disaster waste of time. There was not much to do except a little bit of kayaking, swimming and cooking class. You can give this a miss without any regrets.

Let’s be honest - OK this is a tale of two halves.
Firstly the crew on board, the boat, the food,drinks and on board tour were superb.
However, we took this tour on NYE. and pick up was an hour late, although I kept receiving text to say the coach would be there in a few minutes!
The coach was actually parked on the outskirts of the city in a lay bye Although the whole of Hanoi knew some roads in the centre were closed the operators did not.
I was surprised that the extremely young tour guide seemed to think everything was ok and also felt appropriately dressed in a track suit and beanie hat and was accompanied by his friend neither of whom had a clue about hospitality.
They clearly thought they were on a jolly and were rude, patronising and treated their guests like children.
The day was ruined by their unacceptable and shocking behaviour.
Although treated like children all day we aren’t so we were able to eventually make our way back to our hotel when the coach unloaded on the outskirts of the city. The taxi organised by the guide would only go 250yards as he hadn’t been paid properly!
Hanoi on NYE is one busy place and with no Vietnamese knowledge, map etc the hours walk was potentially dangerous and trying
Let’s hope by now this guide has been replaced
The boat is great however and well worth the double cost of similar trips, full marks to them and thank you

Lack of organization - The tour is very disorganized. We were picked up about 30 min late. Stopped in a spot outside the main road for 35 min on the way out and back when there are plenty of rest stops on the main road with more options for dining and better facilities. The bus was not as advertised ( all other buses on the same tour had a lot more space - 2/1 seating instead of 2/2 seating). The cooking class could only accommodate about 20 people out of the 90+ on the boat. On the way back we even had to stop to fuel the bus (why didn’t they do that while people were on the boat). You can find multiple other tours with a better value.
