Enthusiastic delicious tour - Casey was our exceptional guide from Beyond Vietnam who took us to hidden gems throughout the Old Quarter. We were treated to a variety of delicious dishes and lots of stories about the food, culture and history of the area. Casey’s enthusiasm for her job makes her a wonderful ambassador for Hanoi. Highly recommend

Fantastic family tour with brilliant guides - Our family had a great day with Casey and Sienna on the Hanoi Family Quest. It was our son’s fifth birthday and he was very excited about the breadth of experiences; from trying local foods, seeing and experiencing local culture and creative opportunities - our guides were wonderful, thoughtful hosts that shared their own personal experiences and stories, infused with a fun and adventurous tour. They were fantastic with our little ones ranging from 2-7 years old (we had four kiddos with us) and kept them entertained, engaged and were playful during the four hour experience. They also presented our son with a birthday cake to celebrate the occasion. Thank you for such a special tour of this beautiful city.

Such an amazing evening ! - When you read about food tours, it can be overwhelming. There are so many to choose from. We wanted to use a small company and to have an authentic experience of the food culture . We made the right choice. Beyond Vietnam is exactly as they describe themselves. They are beyond the tourist places . In fact you will not see another tourist in the places where you eat. Casey, our guide, was so sweet and took great care of us. I am a foodie and my husband is not. I explained to him , that a good tour is not onky about eating, it teaches so much about Vietnam culture . He was happy that he came. I can’t imagine a better experience seeing the old quarter. I left with a full stomach as well as a full heart .

Taste of Hanoi - Recommended local cuisine - Casey our guide was fantastic. Her knowledge of the food, how to eat it, the culture and society of Vietnam and the visit to the temple along the route were really good.
The food choices were lovely and we really enjoyed the experience. Some of the food we had was Bahn Gio, Bahn Ran (my favourite), Bahn Goi, Bahn Tom, Che (a sweet soup) and others.

Learning about Hanoi through its’ Street Food! - We traveled to Hanoi as a family, bringing our adult son along because he lives in Japan and we don’t get to see him very much. I decided to book a food tour of Hanoi because our son’s a foodie and I remembered watching Anthony Bourdain and Barack Obama meet for a memorable meal in a tiny restaurant in Hanoi for Bourdain’s travel-food show. That meal left an indelible mark on me. Eating the food the locals eat is the best entree into a foreign land. So true!
This is the approach our tour guide Casey took with us! She was bubbly and enthusiastic and had great pride in her country. We tried a bit of everything at the food stalls and buying from street vendors! It was exciting to travel along with her.
Spending a fast paced evening running through the Old Quarter was an experience we’ll always treasure! 🥰

Best foodie & local tour. - This was the best foodie tour we have ever done. We were fortunate enough to get one of the owners. It was a personalised tour going to multiple destinations, sampling many different foods & even included making a dish - papaya salad which was a fun experience. We enjoyed interacting with the locals, it was such fun and we learnt things along the way.
We would definitely recommend this tour to our friends, we would do this tour again if we returned to Hanoi.
This is in our top 3 highlights of our 2 week trip to Vietnam. Highly recommend.

Money for value experience. - Definitely was a 5 out of 5 experience. Casey was my tour guide and she went above and beyond with 7 delicious meals. Casey bought her amazing energy, made me feel comfortable and overall made my experience very memorable. Book with this tour and book with Casey. She is number one.

You have to do this tour - This food tour with Chi was the best way to experience Hanoi food , culture and history. CHI kept us entertained all night with her indepth stories about the food we were eating and the history of their culture, their practices , and history. AS well as language lessons. We had it all.

Beyond ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ - Our tour with Linh in Hanoi was absolutely outstanding! Knowledgeable, friendly, and full of fascinating stories, she made the city come alive for us. She’s also very fun and really funny, speaking English perfectly. Every detail was thoughtful, the pace was perfect, and we discovered hidden gems we never would have found on our own. Truly one of the best guides we’ve ever had, and my favorite person in Vietnam by a mile—highly recommended!
