Hanoi Opera House - This location serves as the “meeting point” for passengers who do not require hotel pickup or whose accommodations are outside of Hanoi Old Quarter. Customers can provide their hotel address, but complimentary hotel pickup is only available within the Old Quarter. If your hotel is outside this area, please take a taxi to the meeting point by 8:45 am to join the tour. Our limousine will collect you from your hotel in Hanoi Old Quarter and transport you to Tuan Chau Marina via the new expressway. The journey takes 2.5 hours, including a short break halfway for restroom use and to stretch your legs.
Tuan Chau International Marina - Arrive at Tuan Chau Marina at 12:00. Collect your entrance tickets here, and the tour guide will escort you to the cruise. Welcome to the Halong Bay cruise day trip. Our luxury cruise will take you on a 6-hour journey through Halong Bay. Enjoy lunch while passing beautiful islands, islets, and outcrops, which locals have imaginatively named based on their shapes, such as Cock Fighting and Thumb.
Please note: Entrance tickets are mandatory and must be purchased (ticket fee is 310,000 VND or 12 USD per person). Our tour guide will assist you with the purchase.
Sung Sot Cave - Sung Sot Cave is one of the largest and most stunning caves in Halong. Initially, visitors may find the cave’s entrance small, but upon passing through a rocky slot, they will be amazed by the vast interior. When French tourists first visited Sung Sot Cave, they were so impressed by its majestic beauty and expansive area (approximately 10,000 m2) that someone exclaimed “Grotto des Surprises,” meaning a cave of surprises. Since then, it has been known as Sung Sot Cave (Surprising Cave).
Hang Luon Cave - The group then embarks on an exciting activity - kayaking in Halong Bay. You can choose to kayak or take a bamboo boat through Luon Cave to explore the beautiful lagoon.
Please note: This is OPTIONAL and requires a ticket fee. If you wish to kayak or take a bamboo boat in Halong Bay, the tour guide will assist you with purchasing the ticket, which costs 50,000 VND or 2 USD per person.
Ti Top Beach - Titov Island, or Ti Top Beach, is shaped like a crescent around the island. Although small, it is praised for its tranquil and airy atmosphere, as well as its captivating landscape. The beach features pristine white sand, clear blue water, and gentle waves, making it perfect for recreational activities like swimming and other sea sports. Currently, there is a small beach on Ti Top.
Swimming at Ti Top Beach is truly enjoyable. After swimming, you can relax in the ideal setting of vast sky and sunshine. This beautiful beach is worth visiting to cool off when the heat becomes overwhelming.
Around 16:30, the group returns to the cruise for relaxation and tea while cruising back towards Tuan Chau harbor. There is ample time for sunbathing on the upper deck with music, enjoying the camaraderie of fellow travelers amidst the iconic natural scenery.
Hanoi Opera House - At 17:30, disembark to return via the same expressway to Hanoi.
20:00 Drop-off at the same hotel/accommodation in Hanoi Old Quarter or at the meeting point (Hanoi Opera House). The tour concludes!

You should not miss the Ha Long Bay! - Ha Long Bay is immensely beautiful, and a must visit place if you are in North Vietnam. This one day excursion from Hanoi is perfectly tailored for tourists who can not spend multiple days & nights on the bay, but would like to explore it and see the main attractions in a day. The tour started in Hanoi, with pick up offered from within the Old Quarter. Those staying outside the old quarter (like yours truly) have to arrive at a pre-determined pickup spot in the morning. The tourists were put in a comfortable minibus and transferred to the Ha Long cruise terminal . The road trip took about 3 hours. Just before reaching the terminal, we were also taken for a short visit to a local pearl farm, where several jewellery items made of natural pearls are available for sale, complete with a genuineness certificate. On boarding the cruise, we were served a very good lunch menu buffet-style (price included within the booking), with additional options available a la carte (need to be paid for). In about one hour of cruising on the bay, we reached the Sung Sot cave, which is a natural cave on one of the islands in the bay. It is a cave with three chambers, connected by narrow passages, with the successive chambers becoming larger in size (the third chamber is insanely large). After the cave, came the optional activity part. I chose to do the Speedboat + Bamboo Boat ride on the bay (kayaking is also available). Note that the price for the optional activity is not included in the original booking, and is to be separately paid for (speedboat + bamboo boat took 300K VND). Speedboat ride allows you to explore parts of the bay not covered by the cruise, while the bamboo boat takes you through a small tunnel into a natural enclosure formed by the karst mountains of the bay. Finally, the last part of the activity involved visiting the Titop island, where one has to either choose between going for a swim on the beach or take a hike up the mountain (it is difficult to manage both because only about 45 minutes are given for the Titop island activity). I chose to go on the hike, which involves climbing about 450 or so steps to the top. The view of the bay from above is exhilarating and is totally worth the exhaustion from climbing :-) While returning back to the cruise terminal, we were offered evening snacks and fruits on the cruise deck, with nice party music playing in the background. From the terminal, we went back to Hanoi, with a short 15 minute break in between the drive. All in all, I highly recommend this experience.

Recommend definitely - Great cruise with lovely food and hospitality. Would recommend despite the weather. Our guide tung was hard to understand English wasn’t good which made it quite difficult but overall the trip was great.

Overall, quite a pleasant experience - + Tour guide super friendly and flexible + The bay is amazing. The way back during sunset is stunning. + The food on the boat was actually good enough + The boat itself is more than decent. Quite a good quality if you compare to the other ones. - The last stop at 19h30 of 20 min, after a 12h day, was not really necessary. - Boat crew should find a better way to remember each one's consumptions. I was surprised in the morning that we had no number assigned or else. Result: my end bill was completely wrong. But fixed quite easily as i marked down everything i consumed. - Maybe a small feedback for the guide: a lot of instructions were repeated again and again. I understand that some people are not paying attention, but it became annoying, for someone listening, to hear the same rules/guidelines 3 to 5 times - The bus is comfortable enough, i saw worse, but i also experienced better as a considered "Limousine". Overall, i give it a solid 4/5. For someone short in time willing to visit the Bay in one day, i would definetely recommend ! Pretty good value for money in my opinion

A very long day of not much interest - Advertised as a 1.5 hour journey each way. Infact we were on the bus for 7 hrs in total! Stopped at a Perl factory which was of no interest too many of us. Boat took too long on the way back just to enable people to eat and drink . Too many people in the areas we stopped. A long day which I wouldn’t recommend.
