Amazing Concept !! - During my vacation a few weeks back I met these two wonderful gentlemen who were my tour guides in Hanoi. They do this for free. When I asked the reason, they said "It gives them an opportunity to sharpen their english skills which might help in getting into international companies. One of them (to your right, whose name is David) is an accountant and the other on my left, again David (english name) is an Automobile Engg student. The beauty of the concept and the efforts from both the David is to ensure that, they keep learning. I truly admire this concept and their dedication to do this to learn and grow. That's the message here. How far would you like to go, to learn something new ? They both are part of Hanoi Free Private Guide, which is a unique club dedicated to offering Hanoi free walking tours guided by enthusiastic local volunteers. Composed of students and young Hanoians eager to practice their English and showcase the charm of their city [This para is from their website] Hanoi Free Private Tour Guide #learning

Amazingly fun time! - We did the cultural exchange tour with Silky as our guide. It was such a fun day visiting the University of Law, Food Alley, cafés, and playing arcade games with them. It is a really worthwhile experience as the guides volunteer for the chance to practice their English.

- I joined an English course for tour guides and it was one of the best learning experiences I’ve had. The lessons were very practical — we learned how to introduce famous places, answer tourist questions, and improve our pronunciation. The teacher was professional, friendly, and always gave helpful feedback. What I liked most was the focus on real-life situations that tour guides often face. After this course, I feel much more confident when speaking English with foreign tourists. Highly recommended for anyone working in tourism!

A step into the Old Quarter and a leap into History - My tour guide truly brought the Hanoi Old Quarter to life. Their expertise skillfully illuminated the area's ongoing role as a commercial hub and its commitment to preserving traditional Vietnamese life. I was particularly impressed by their insights into the unique architecture and their excellent street food recommendations. Beyond their knowledge, my tour guide was an engaging and passionate communicator. This tour profoundly deepened my appreciation for Hanoi, making it an unforgettable experience.

Excellent guide experience - The volunteer guides for the Ho Chi Minh museum were amazing, they were fun to speak to (one told me the fortune of my palms) and very informative about the museum! I would definitely recommend having any of the guides show you around the exhibits
