Day 1: Hanoi - Lang Son - Dong Khe - Quang An - Ban Gioc Waterfall

Ban Gioc Waterfall - Detian Falls - Between 6:20 and 7:00 am, guests are picked up from their hotel. The journey begins on the expressway from Hanoi to Lang Son Province, covering 140 km. Along the highway, travelers can enjoy the scenic rural landscapes.

Day 1: Hanoi - Lang Son - Dong Khe - Quang An - Ban Gioc Waterfall

Cao Bang - At 10:00 am, there is a short break to admire the beautiful views of rice paddies from a rest stop.

Cao Bang - At 10:30 am, the route turns onto the national road towards Cao Bang. From Dong Khe Town, the drive continues along the China border, taking a shortcut to Ban Gioc. A 30-minute stop at Sugarcane Village allows visitors to meet a local family and learn about their culture before proceeding to the next destination.

Cao Bang - Between 12:30 and 1:00 pm, arrival at a restaurant in Quang Hoa Town for a lunch featuring local cuisine. After a relaxing break, the journey continues to Ban Gioc Waterfall, which is approximately 35 km away.

Ban Gioc Waterfall - Detian Falls - At 1:30 pm, the trip to Ban Gioc Waterfall resumes, arriving after 50 minutes. From 3:00 to 4:30 pm, visitors can enjoy the stunning views of the waterfall, take photos, and experience a 30-minute sampan boat cruise close to the waterfall for a memorable experience.

Ban Gioc Waterfall - Detian Falls - At 5:15 pm, return to the limousine van for transport to accommodations for an overnight stay in a traditional house or bungalow with a private room. Dinner is served at 7:00 pm.

Day 2: Khuoi Ky - Nguom Ngao Cave - Ban Gioc Pagoda - Lunch Quang Hoa - Back To Hanoi

Nguom Ngao Cave - At 7:30 am, breakfast is served, followed by check-out before continuing the tour. At 8:30 am, the visit to one of the most beautiful caves in northeast Vietnam begins. Guests have 1.5 hours to explore Nguom Ngao Cave, marveling at the stunning stalactites and stalagmites, which resemble various animals. This cave offers an incredible experience that words cannot fully describe.

Ban Gioc Waterfall - Detian Falls - At 9:45 am, the tour continues to Ban Gioc Pagoda, where a 300-step hike leads to a panoramic view of Ban Gioc Waterfall and China. The pagoda offers insights into the area’s history.

Cao Bang - At 11:00 am, the limousine returns to Hanoi, with a stop at Thung Nang viewpoint for a walk and to appreciate the breathtaking landscape.

From 12:00 to 12:30 pm, lunch is enjoyed at a local restaurant in Quang Hoa Town. After lunch, the journey continues along the China border road back to Hanoi.

Cao Bang - At 1:30 pm, the drive back to Hanoi takes 4 to 5 hours, with an expected arrival between 6:30 and 7:00 pm.

Excellent experience - We had one of the best experiences of our trip traveling to Ban Gioc waterfalls. Tour guide An was amazing, we had a lovely and safe driver as well. Even though the journey was long (about 8 hours with the lunch breaks), it was well worth it. Spectacular scenery, less touristy areas and more untouched nature. An ordered some local foods for us which were very tasty and gave us a chance to experience local foods. We even got to eat dinner in a cave! Keep up the good work, I’ll be back with my extended family in the near future.

Excellent 2-day tour! - Excellent tour! It was a memorable experience, and we thoroughly enjoyed visiting Ban Gioc Waterfalls, Phat Tich Truc Lam Ban Gioc Pagoda, and Nguom Ngao Cave. The scenery is absolutely breathtaking! Although it was a long drive from Hanoi, the journey was made comfortable by a limousine ride with plenty of rest stops along the way. The accommodation at Yen Nhi Homestay in Cao Bang was fantastic, offering stunning views and delicious food. Eating at the cave's dining area was a unique experience. Special thanks to our guide, An! He was very informative and went above and beyond to ensure we had the best possible experience. The tour exceeded our expectations — I’d definitely recommend booking this tour!

Highly recommend this tour - We were the only people on the tour so it ended up being a private tour! It's a long drive, but what a beautiful area! The waterfalls were amazing as were the views from the pagoda and the cave tour. Our guide was fantastic!

Drakes a G - The tour was excellent, and each place we stopped to visit from the waterfall to the pagoda were amazing, even the food stops were perfect and will happily cater to dietary requirements if told in advance! Our tour guide Drake and our driver were the perfect companions for the trip, it felt more like a road trip with friends than a guided tour! Would highly recommend to anyone interested :)

Amazing and Authentic - This delivered more than expected when I booked for a group of friends for something a little bit different. Whilst it is bit of a drive there were plenty of stops along the way at local businesses. We got to see traditional people in the mountains, water buffalo at work and the water fall was amazing. To top it off, our accommodation was wonderful. If you are prone to car sickness, I would recommend waiting until the expressway is finished as the road trip will be shorter and straighter.

Highlight of our trip to Vietnam - I highly recommend this trip it is fabulous. Khang went above and beyond to organise this trip for us during Tet. The tour guide Lee and driver Hung made this trip very special for us. Ban Gioc waterfalls are beautiful, as well as Angel Mountain , Tiger Cave and local Village. As for the homestay, beautiful people, food , accomodation wish we could of stayed longer , definitely the highlight of our trip

A great trip - We really enjoyed getting away from the city in the fresh air. The guide Drake was very informative and helpful, he looked after us well. The drive is long however and the roads winding, the villages we passed through provided great scenery.

Waterfall closed due to flooding - Trip would have been fantastic, however the waterfall was closed as the site had flooded. We couldn’t get to the waterfall or do the boat ride (access to boats had also flooded). Pho our tour guide was brilliant and did everything to make the tour enjoyable. It would have been 5 stars if we had been able to see the waterfall. However it’s disappointing to do a 2 day, expensive trip to see a waterfall that’s closed. We didn’t complain as we thought they can’t control the weather, however if they’d known (or checked) that the waterfall was inaccessible then we could have rearranged.
