Taxi sân bay và -đường dài - Today, We bring the oldest ceramics village of Bat Trang to you right in the heart of Hanoi’s old quarter, at 115 Hang Gai, Hoan Kiem. Here you can join a pottery class conducted by an experienced teacher from bat trang ceramics village.
You will get to learn about the history and basics of Bat Trang pottery. Practice making as many products as you desire on an electric pottery wheel during your 3 hours.
Slots for class: In the morning 8h30 to 11h30 or in the afternoon 14h00 to 17h00
Firing and glazing with different beautifull colors of products takes 2-3 days. Please plan your schedule accordingly in order to pick up and take the products you’ve made home
If you don’t have 2-3days, We can fire with white glaze ONLY (1-2days) or we can offer free things in the shop, or We can ship to you later ( shipping fee is not included)

- Lessons will be taught 100% on an electric pottery wheel, so that it is easier, faster, and less tiring to learn. (Each person will be assigned their own wheel)
- Located in the heart of Ha Noi’s Old Quarter, you can learn pottery, try Vietnamese coffee and food, and visit Ho Guom Lake. No need to go all the way…
Why should you take a pottery class?
- Lessons will be taught 100% on an electric pottery wheel, so that it is easier, faster, and less tiring to learn. (Each person will be assigned their own wheel)
- Located in the heart of Ha Noi’s Old Quarter, you can learn pottery, try Vietnamese coffee and food, and visit Ho Guom Lake. No need to go all the way to the Bat Trang village that is located 15km out of Ha Noi.
- A professional potter will guide you along the way, ensuring that your ceramic pieces will come out beautiful.
- There is no limit on how many pieces and designs you can make.
- You can take a piece of your choice home as a souvenir, with your choice of enamel color.
- Pick up and take the products you’ve made home in 1day later.
- The pottery class supports an AC fan and bathroom for pottery students
- Make an appointment at least 30 minutes beforehand and you are on your way to becoming a pro at pottery!

Nice, creative experience - Nice and relaxing experience, very kind teachers. Very nice to be creative and have a souvenir piece from Vietnam which is homemade :)
Plan 3 days ahead if you want your pottery glazed with colours, 2 days if only white glaze. They ship for 8 dollars in whole Vietnam.

Really must-do! - Lovely class, teacher goes the extra mile for you. Is very proud of his product and wants you to take a very nice product home. We went with children of 7 and 9 and they had so much fun! Would really recommend!

Value for money - Very friendly staff. Super fun to make pots. Just make sure to have 2 days extra, if not you might not be able to glaze the pots and thus not eat out of them.

Pottery Class a Great Way to Spend Several Hours - Our teacher Hang Tran was very helpful, friendly and patient. We went through a lot of clay but it was not a problem, thanks so much.

Meditative experience with clay and creativity - If you need a few hours to step away from the hustle of Hanoi this class is for you. Conveniently located in the old quarter, you get 3 hours to make as many pieces as you’d like. The potters on staff are so kind and helpful. None of us had ever done this before and they helped us understand how to get the various shapes and yes get creative too. Our 11 year old took a little time to get the hang of it and with patient tutoring from the potter made the best piece amongst all of us. You get to take one piece home for free and $5 for each additional. Do it early in your trip as they need two days to fire and glaze. Lovely memory to have as a family and you also have gifts you can give back home that have your personal touch. Only advice where clothes you don’t mind getting messy, it all washes of with water for sure.

Great pottery throw-down 🤓 - So much fun and a great experience!
My friend and I did a class together this morning. Our teacher, Tran was so patient with us, after many failures I ended up with 6 decent pieces!

Nice course - It was a very nice course with a patient guide! :)
We got our mugs with white glaze the day after. They were nice, but would like the colorglaze but time before our depatur was not enough.

Fun and creative!! Take home your creations!! - You get to make as many ceramics as you want!! Sonny was very helpful and refined your finish products. You get to take home one of your creations for free. If you want to take any other of your creations home, it's $5 each. Do give yourself at least two days as it takes time to fire the pottery--and then pickup!!
