HANOI – PU LUONG (L - D)

Hanoi - AM: Guests will be picked up at the Hanoi Opera House at 7:00 AM and select hotels in the Old Quarter. Departure to Pu Luong Nature Reserve is scheduled for 7:30 AM, with an estimated 4-hour drive, traffic permitting.

A brief 20-minute rest stop is planned midway. The journey offers scenic views of village landscapes and glimpses of local daily life.

Pu Luong Nature Reserve - Arrive at Pu Luong Nature Reserve before noon for lunch. Check-in to your reserved room follows (standard check-in time is 14:00). Enjoy some leisure time to relax and explore.

PM: Embark on an afternoon trek with a difficulty level of 4/5.

Transfer to the meeting point to begin a 10km trek. Explore Kho Muong, a secluded village nestled in a valley, and the largest cave in Pu Luong via off-road trails through streams and mountains. Continue to the picturesque Bang village, known for its remote houses and stunning paddy fields. Return to the hotel for relaxation. This concludes the first day.

PU LUONG (B - L - ) | Enchanting 19km off-road trekking

Don Village - AM: Wake up to the invigorating mountain air. Breakfast is available from 6:00 AM. Prepare to meet your guide at the hotel by 8:00 AM.

Begin a 6KM hike along Pu Luong’s iconic trail, highlighting Don village, renowned for its breathtaking paddy fields, and Uoi – Lan Villages, showcasing the authentic lifestyle of the Thai ethnic minority. Difficulty level 2/5.

On the way to Hieu waterfall, enjoy off-the-beaten-path experiences in the jungles of Long and Doc villages, covering an estimated 8KM. Difficulty level 3/5.

Ba Thuoc - Ascend to the most remote part of Hieu Village and gradually follow the stream to the main point of Hieu Waterfall, the sole waterfall in Pu Luong Nature Reserve, and take a break there.

PM: Enjoy a picnic lunch or dine at a local restaurant. Explore Hieu villages, trek to the largest waterfall, and wander around. Descend to the stream, concluding the trek at the main road, and be transferred back to the hotel by 4 PM. For bikers, ride and visit some hamlets on the way back to Lan village before returning to the hotel.

PU LUONG - HANOI (B) Village life | water wheels | rafting

Pu Long Nature Reserve - AM: Enjoy breakfast and be ready by 8:30 AM.

Transfer to Ban Cong and commence a 2.5km walk. Cross a suspension bridge to one of Pu Luong’s most scenic villages, where the largest stream flows. Along the river, admire the stunning landscapes, rice fields, and village life. Discover and appreciate the giant water wheels, a remarkable creation of Vietnam’s mountainous ethnic minorities.

Pu Luong Nature Reserve - Arrive at Chieu Lau dam and participate in bamboo rafting. Relax and enjoy paddling the raft upstream with locals.

The raft lands on the opposite side of the river, allowing you to continue a trek through rice fields and villages, forming a loop trail. Meet the transfer at the main road and return to the hotel. Conclude your trek by 11:30 AM and check out of the hotel. Difficulty level 2/5.

PM: Lunch is optional. Prepare for the bus ride back to Hanoi. The tour concludes at hotels by 6:00 PM.
