In the space of 90 minutes Philip provided us with a wealth of facts and insights concerning the people and events which combined to make Hollywood such a fascinating and glamorous place and which gave us some of the greatest actors and films of the twentieth century and beyond. His witty and engaging style together with lots of photos and anecdotes and stopping at long-gone landmarks along a small stretch of Sunset Boulevard to explain their significance which we would have missed on our own kept us enthralled to the end. Well worth doing if you are interested in the history of Hollywood. and anecdotes kept us spellbound and

This tour was amazing! Felix took us back in time, all the way back to the beginning of what we know Hollywood to be today and told us how and where it all started. He is very knowledgeable about the history of the main film studios, music venues and people that made it all happen. If you want to escape the craziness of the Walk of Fame and get a sense of what Hollywood’s film and music history is really about, then this tour is a must!!

By far the BEST tour in L.A.! My husband and I were very excited about the Historical Hollywood tour and based on the previous reviews expected it to be great, but it was even better than great; it was AWESOME! I would highly recommend above all the Studio Tours if you are an old Hollywood lover. The studio tours, while good in their own right, only give you a slice of history, while this tour focuses on it. Philip (your tour guide) has absolutely mastered the history of Hollywood and it's more than you could imagine. He truly is a subject matter expert and a wonderful story teller. You must be in order to recreate what, in most cases, has been torn down, re-purposed and commercialized. There is so much cool history (film, TV, and radio) in that mile on Sunset that has been lost. It was an absolute joy to rediscover it all with Philip.
