When we went, dinner was at 6 for those put on the lower deck and those on the upper deck had dinner around 7, the floors were switched at the half way point. We started out on the upper deck. Making the switch really made the boat rock, probably hard for most people over 70. My 80 year old Mother was afraid to get up after that, I almost fell myself. I don't think that switch should be done. Make sure the lower deck has air-conditioning. It was broken when we went, practically intolerable. People had to leave and stand at the front of the ship. If we hadn't "roasted" on the lower deck I would say it's worth the trip for sure. Food was good, plenty of fruit. Barbecue Chicken, mashed potatoes, fried shrimp, salad. Either chocolate cake or cheesecake for desert. Free lemonade or water. A cash bar for alcoholic drinks. Narration by the Captain was interesting but couldn't hear well on the upper deck. A girl played a ukulele while singing on upper deck. The girls on the Princess were very nice.
Loved the ride, and the food! Lower cabin was too warm and no air movement. Time to freshen up carpet, tables etc........ ice cream melted.
Too crowded and there was limited food options.
It was very confusing to try to board boat because all there was was one little sign up by the white building telling you to check in before you got on the boat and a lot of people were just getting onto the boat not knowing they had to check in first get their table number. And then secondly we were seated at table number one and they had to transfer other people to a different table because somehow or another there was a lot more people coming to table one that there was room for and by the time we got back to the food the potatoes were all gone and a salad was down to nothing.
Could not hear captain speaking about landmarks or when it was time to eat. Dinner coordination seemed unorganized.
Not enough food options for vegetarians.
The food on our 8:00 pm seating was tepid. And our dinner seating was at the back of the boat where we had no view of the lake or sunset.
I would recommend having kid type meal available for kids who are registered.
The food was cold by the time we got to eat. Also, people from the bottom came up while we were up top and stood up there which blocked our view.
great food. lovely tour
This was a fun activity. The buffet far exceeded my expectations and the staff/crew were very friendly and the musician, Dann the Band was fun. I would highly recommend this tour.
The boat was crowded and lacked accommodations for people with young children.
The weather was fantastic. The food was acceptable. The shrimp was not crisp. Steamed to long?
A good value. Enjoyed the meal and the lazy cruise down the river and into the gorgeous waters of Lake Michgian. Staff of lovely yound ladies were delightful and keen to assist however they could. Live Music by a talented musician on the upper deck was a very nice touch. Overall, we felt it was a good value. One observation we had is that it was a bit too crowded for our tastes but we understand for that price and a meal you have to keep it affordable and have more people. We liked the dinner of the BBQ Chicken, Shrimp, Strawberry Poppyseeld salad, mashed potatoes, dinner roll, and fresh fruit with cheesecake or chocolate cake for dessert was delicious. However, you had to go to the bar to get a drink (water or lemondade)...would suggest they have picthers and cups at tables in future to avoid congestion in the dining room.
We were the second group to eat dinner, the food was a little warm not as good. Over all good boat trip.
Very warm in dining area, cramped, getting back to your table from the food line. Great views during the tour/ride, food was good, bar was great! Staff extremely friendly and helpful, overall an enjoyable adventure.
A bit crowded.was moved around a bit. Literally last to get our food. Cold food warm. Ran out of ice on a very hot night.
The shrimp was put on buffet frozen and after it thawed it didn’t taste good
Boat seemed a bit crowded. Loved having a lady captain though
I had heard great reviews of the dinner cruise and had to see for myself. It was a very pleasant time with good food and entertainment. The only thing I caution is to be aware it is a little breezy up top of you choose to sit up there. It was a great time and I plan on going again!
It was a good two hours of natarated tour on the water. Which includes dinner, I would only suggest that the chicken was very good, but was hard to eat with the plastic knife and fork. The open bar was very nice and the three girls which I over heard were the daughters of the captain made the food and open bar very nice. They made it seem effortlessly easy to work the cruise and were very happy during the trip.
Staff was welcoming and hospitable.
Trip was very comfortable. Staff were very nice and friendly. Food was excellent!
The boat tour was great. There was a problem with the dinner. The mash potatoes and chicken were not replenished when they should have been. When we went through the line there were no mash potatoes and very little chicken. The chicken, that was there, was skin and very small pieces. We went up later and both had been replenished so we got some potatoes and chicken. We thought the tables were to be dismissed one at a time to go to the line, but that did not happen so we were almost the last to get in line. The gals could not get in to replenish the food because it was too crowded up there. Thanks. Tom Potter
The quality of food is somewhat disappointing.
Captain Kaitlyn extremely down to earth and friendly, but experienced. Dinner was good and ride was enjoyable.
Everything was well planned and executed. The staff/crew were all very friendly, and attentive. The tour though not out into Lake Michigan was very pleasant and the entertainment was great!
I was surprised the meal wasn't more extravagant due to the cost being $50 per person. The shredded chicken had bones in it.
I wish the tour guide talking had been louder. It was very hard to hear what he was saying.
Views were awesome food was ok but I think they could do a couple things to make the trip alot better. Still a fun experience and had a good time.
