Incredible experience! - Just an incredible experience. Oddur, the guide, was very nice, friendly and prepared. He was aware to make us enjoy the whole experience. The small group is the best choice to appreciate the glacier, the nature and the amazing place you will visite. I would definitely recommend to book a tour with them, you will not regret!

Magnificent group - A magnificent experience. Oddur was super nice, helpful and attentive to everyone's needs. Safety equipment is provided by the organizer. Definitely an experience to do if you travel to Iceland. The walk is not very demanding and is suitable for everyone. However, they are willing to stop to let air take over and give everyone the opportunity to recover. To be repeated

The most beautiful experience you can do in Iceland - We had a great experience with Melrakki Adventures and their guide (and pro photographer) Vincenzo. We did an exclusive tour, visiting the best ice cave that Iceland can offer. This excursion was probably the most incredible we did in our many trips to Iceland. It has been unforgettable, takk fyrir!

Excellent company; excellent tour - Melrakki is a newer, smaller company than some of the other outfits, and newer and smaller means you get a better experience. I had booked a short glacier hike and ice cave tour, and they reached out a week before the trip to let us know there weren't any ice caves that had formed yet. That was absolutely okay; I understood and appreciated being notified in time to change to the small group glacier hike. What a wonderful piece of luck that was. Our group of just 5 left the tour center earlier, and travelling in a small vehicle, we were able to park closer to the glacier than some of the larger tour outfits, so we didn't have to hike as far to get onto the glacier. By the time we saw some of the other groups arriving, we were already high up above them. Franzie, our wonderful guide, explained how to use the crampons and poles very well, and provided all kinds of wonderful facts about the life cycle of a glacier. She also kept a good eye on our 11-year-old, taking his hand to help him through some of the more challenging areas to hike. Throughout the hike she checked in if we wanted to keep going higher (the answer was always an enthusiastic yes), and at the end, she let us know they had just discovered a huge moulin, the circular channels into the ice formed by running water, and then took us into it- a grand finale to an incredible hike. Next time we go, Melrakki is the only company I'm going to look at when I book a glacier hike. We absolutely loved our experience.

Excellent Adventure!! - Absolutely loved this experience! Our guide Oddur was patient , helped us fix the fit of our crampons, and took us to several different locations he’d discovered on the glacier. It was interesting to hear him describe how quickly features would change and disappear. Oddur also took some wonderful pictures for us. We enjoyed our conversation on some of the past volcano eruptions. Highly recommended! We’ll never forget the ice cave, and the gorgeous colors on the glacier.

The best day of my trip to Iceland by far! - It was such a perfect day, and one of the greatest memories I have from Iceland. Our guide, Oddur, was super knowledgeable and made sure we had a pleasant and crowd-free experience as we trekked high up the glacier. He explained a great deal of information about the glacier and also life in Iceland - we felt really safe and had a lot of fun! On our way down, he guided us to a beautiful ice cave, and made sure our extra small group (2 people really) had a peaceful visit. He even helped us with photos, suggesting all the best spots to take a picture. We honestly couldn't ask for more! The glacier itself is breathtaking of course, especially when you get to see it from up close. Can’t say enough about this tour - just book it!

Stunning - Stunning, impressive, entertaining, informative and fun. The tour with our guide Oddur, an incredibly friendly Icelander who started his own Enterprise just a few months ago but has been working as a guide for years, was simply spectacular. Away from the many larger Enterprises that usually go in a 20-man column only to the bottom of the glacier, we were allowed to climb as high as possible with Oddur and another couple - away from all groups. We received information about the glacier and its surroundings, had a unique view over the valley and just had a lot of fun. Oddur responds to all wishes, makes stops everywhere when photos are desired and becomes a photographer again and again to have common images. We would book the tour again at any time and can only recommend it to anyone.

Incredible Beautiful & Private Adventure - The journey was amazing over the glaciers with breathtaking views and private caves that were just incredible. Our guide Oddur really made it even better with all his knowledge and just the personalised experienced given our small group. A 6-hour journey that was curated really well as he knew how to stop for breaks and give us time to take it all in and take our photos.

The best day of my life - worth driving 4 hours for this adventure - Never in my life, I have seen such beauty. Gosh, where to start. I read about Melrakki, and felt safe already by booking this adventure. Oddur was such an amazing guide. He gave us great instruction before leaving, and fully information about safety, the gear and the hike. We were only 3 guest, so this was perfect. The weather was perfect. Sun, blue sky and no wind. On this extremely fantastic hike, Oddur told us a lot about the glacier, the rocks, Iceland in general - and about the arctic foxed and the raven-couple, that lives in this area - even with names :) - Oddur was so kind, so informative, and gave us all the time, we needed in any way. Lots of stops, so we could enjoy this unbelievable beauty on Earth. At some point, I just couldn't find words, to give Oddur feedback. The feeling, hiking there on 900-1000 years old ice, in this huge area, in this beauty, without meeting any other groups/people, all the way to this 'hidden' icecave, you just get this feeling: I am alive... it was a blast. Oddur was also so willing and kind to take all kinds of pictures for us - I ran out of batteries, and Oddur offered me to take pictures with his camera, and send them to me. I already got them tonight :) As long, as I live, I will remember this special day. Thanks to Melrakki, thanks to Oddur for giving me this special moment in life. I will never forget it and will always and defenately highly recommend Melrakki, with Oddur in the front. It was worth driving all the way from Fluðir for this stunning adventure. Thanks so much Oddur - I will be back !!
