• Pirates Bay/Eaglehawk Neck - Today promises to be thrilling and dynamic, so an early departure from Hobart is planned to head straight to the breathtaking Tasman Peninsula. This region boasts a rich history, intriguing tales, and stunning landscapes. It also features Australia’s tallest sea cliffs. Enjoy the sweeping views from Pirates Bay Lookout, offering an excellent perspective of the surrounding area.
• Tasman National Park - As we pass through Eaglehawk Neck and “The Dogline,” our Tour Guides will share captivating history and stories of the region.
• Waterfall Bay - We embark on one of Tasmania’s “Great Short Walks.” This brief yet spectacular trail follows the Waterfall Bay Clifftop. The walk takes about 45 minutes, is gently undulating, and is considered easy. The path ends at the impressive rock formations of Tasman Arch and Devil’s Kitchen.
• Tasmanian Devil Unzoo - The next destination is the Tasmanian Devil Unzoo. Experience the excitement of a Tasmanian Devil Feeding. Witness the snarling, fighting, and bone-crushing in a display of devilish antics during feeding time. Hand-feed the wallabies and stroll among the local wildlife in this delightful “Unzoo” environment.
• Port Arthur - Our journey continues to the Port Arthur Historic Site. Upon arrival, there is a wealth of information and history to absorb and explore. Entry includes a complimentary Harbour Cruise around the Isle of the Dead, ‘The Port Arthur Experience’ podcast offering a fascinating introduction to the site, and complimentary site talks throughout the day led by Port Arthur’s expert guides. Discover the grim and violent history of the early Australian Penal system and sense the isolation felt by the convicts in this “inescapable prison.” With approximately 2.5 hours here, there is ample time to explore the main penitentiary, view the solitary confinement cells, and many other buildings in this World Heritage open-air museum.
• Richmond - On the return to Hobart, the journey passes through the historic township of Richmond. Arriving late in the afternoon, there is time to wander the streets, enjoy a coffee, visit the Lolly Shop, Chocolatier, and walk across Australia’s oldest bridge still in use – a convict-built sandstone bridge, rumored to be haunted!

The return to Hobart is around 6.00pm.
