Upon reaching the Information Centre at Cradle Mountain’s entrance, replenish your supplies and head to Dove Lake’s shores. You’ll have 3.5 hours to explore the national park, whether you choose the Dove Lake circuit or other trails.
After exploring Dove Lake and capturing that perfect Instagram shot, proceed to the Enchanted Forest and King Billy Pine walks. These ancient and beautiful walks will leave you in awe as you breathe in the fresh air beneath the canopy of 4000-year-old trees. Keep an eye out for native wildlife, including the elusive Tasmanian Devil, wombats, Spotted Quolls, wallabies, and more!

Campbell Town - Start today’s adventure in Launceston, heading towards Wineglass Bay, Freycinet National Park. After an hour’s drive, stop at Campbell Town to stretch and grab breakfast and a hot drink.
Freycinet National Park - For hiking enthusiasts, enjoy flexible hiking options and explore Freycinet National Park at your own pace for up to 4 hours, choosing from iconic trails like the Wineglass Bay hike or the challenging Mt. Amos ascent with panoramic views.
Wineglass Bay Lookout - For a more relaxed experience, join our knowledgeable guide on a scenic walk to the Wineglass Bay lookout, where you’ll enjoy stunning views. This moderate 40-minute uphill hike is well worth the effort. Capture the perfect Instagram-worthy selfie against this stunning backdrop.
Salamanca Market - Next, visit the renowned Salamanca Market, open on Saturdays only. This world-class market showcases the best of Tasmanian culture, offering a delightful array of art, local produce, talented buskers, unique souvenirs, refreshing beverages, and more!
Richmond - Continue to the historic township of Richmond, rich in convict history and featuring magnificent sandstone and colonial buildings. Admire Australia’s oldest bridge and Catholic church. Richmond also boasts numerous charming eateries, making it the perfect spot for a lunch break. Eaglehawk Neck - On the way to Port Arthur, stop at Eaglehawk Neck’s Pirates Bay lookout and the Dog Line monument for scenic views and photo opportunities.
Tasmanian Chocolate Foundry - This stop will delight sweet tooths as we visit the Tasmanian Chocolate Foundry, a charming local business offering plenty of sweet treats.
Port Arthur Lavender - After the chocolate factory, visit the beautiful Port Arthur Lavender Farm. Explore unique handmade products made from Tasmanian Lavender and stroll around the scenic lavender trail (seasonal).
Port Arthur Historic Site - Next, explore the Port Arthur Historic Site. Immerse yourself in the rich and dark history of Australia’s best-preserved penal settlement. Admission includes a self-guided audio experience and a 25-minute harbor cruise. If history is your focus, enjoy 4 hours exploring the site. For an additional experience, rejoin the bus after 3 hours for a trip to the Remarkable Cave.
Remarkable Cave - Just an 8-minute drive away, enjoy the spectacular vista of Maingon Bay. At the lookout, take in views of Penguin Rocks and the bay. Descend 115 steps to view the Remarkable Cave from a platform surrounded by ancient sandstone cliffs. Return to the historic site to pick up remaining passengers and head back to Hobart by 5:30 pm.
Hastings Cave, Tahune Airwalk and the Huon Tasting Trail
Huonville - Our first stop is Huonville, where you can grab a takeaway coffee and stock up on essentials for the day. Relax and enjoy the scenic drive along the beautiful Huon River. As you sip your coffee, learn why this area is famous for its apple orchards, craft cider makers, boutique winemakers, and salmon production.
Tahune Adventures - Arrive at the Tahune Airwalk, where you’ll have two hours to explore this spectacular region. Choose from three walks: the famous Airwalk, a 600-meter stroll 50 meters up in the tree canopy among the world’s tallest flowering plants, the eucalyptus gum trees. Feeling adventurous? Try the Swinging Bridges Track, a 3.4-kilometer walk crossing two swinging bridges over the Huon River—the first (100m long) and the Picton Swinging Bridge (64m long). Alternatively, stay on the ground and enjoy a tranquil stroll along the riverbank through ancient Huon pines, mingling with trees that are 2,500 years old. Experience a walk through ancient times!

The complete 6-day adventure starts every Wednesday, so plan your arrival accordingly. Hotel pickup and drop-off are available from selected locations, but pickup times and exact locations may vary depending on your accommodation. Hobart Highlights is available only on Saturdays.
