The modest yet captivating performance has charmed audiences for centuries.

HO CHI MINH CITY TOUR (B/L/-)
War Remnants Museum - After breakfast at the hotel, we will visit the War Remnants Museum. Formerly known as the Museum of Vietnam War, it offers a poignant display of the futility of war. The ‘Requiem’ exhibit, featuring black and white photography, is particularly moving and is dedicated to both foreign and Vietnamese journalists and photographers who perished during the conflict. The courtyard outside displays war relics, including rusting jets, tanks, and cannons captured from the American military regime.
The Independence Palace - Next, we will visit The Reunification Palace, one of the city’s most significant buildings. On April 30th, 1975, the ‘American War’ officially ended here when tank number 843 of the North Vietnamese Army crashed through the gates of what was then the residence of the President of the Republic of Vietnam.
Saigon Notre Dame Cathedral - We will then visit the Notre Dame Cathedral and Old Post Office, built between 1877 and 1883. These structures are prime examples of classical French colonial architecture. Remarkably, every stone used in their construction was shipped from France to Vietnam. The cathedral’s two 40-meter towers, topped with iron spires, dominate the city’s skyline.
The Old Post Office, another example of French colonial architecture, is also the country’s largest post office. We will also visit the building from which the last helicopter departed Saigon.
Ben Thanh Market - Lunch will be at a local restaurant.
After lunch, we will continue to visit The Opera House, City Hall, and Jade Emperor Pagoda. We will also stop at Saigon Square or Ben Thanh Market, a bustling market popular with tourists due to its central location. It offers a wide selection of goods, from fake Nike shoes to beautiful silk Ao Dais.
Return to the hotel. Free time to relax.
CU CHI TUNNEL TOUR - STREET FOOD TOUR ON SCOOTER (B/L/D)
Cu Chi Tunnels - In the morning, Luco Travel’s tour guide will pick you up at the hotel and take you to the Cu Chi Tunnels, an amazing site where the Viet Cong hid during the war. This network of over 250 km of tunnels became legendary for its role in the war. The tunnels functioned as underground cities, complete with trap doors, living areas, storage facilities, weapons factories, field hospitals, command centers, and kitchens.
There is ample evidence of the fierce battles that took place here during the 1960s when Cu Chi was a “Free Target Zone.” Visitors can watch a short introductory video on how the tunnels were constructed before exploring them. You will spend the next hour exploring the tunnels and then enjoy tea with cassava, the guerrillas’ food during wartime.
14:30 Return to Ho Chi Minh City after lunch and relax.
Ho Chi Minh City - At 18:00, our tour guide will meet you at the hotel and provide safety instructions for riding on the back of a bike.
Experience the rush hour of Saigon like a local, riding through beautifully lit boulevards, back alleys, and busy streets. This experience is far more exciting than looking at pictures in a guidebook!
First, enjoy Vietnamese pancakes (Bánh xèo) and spring rolls. Our guide will explain the customs and background of the food, and you will also have the chance to try making it. We will sit on small plastic chairs in the alleys, enjoying our food and drinks like the locals.
Nguyen Thien Thuat Apartment Buildings - Later, our guide will take you around Saigon to explore “Chung cư,” a Vietnamese residential building built long ago. We will visit a hidden coffee shop to taste coffee and learn how to make it without a machine. This experience is a must for anyone visiting Vietnam.
Along the way, you will see local activities and discover small alleys where Vietnamese people spend their evenings. We will also try Vietnamese pizza, a favorite snack among locals.
Our last stop is for a famous Vietnamese dessert, sweet soup. You will have the chance to try 3-5 kinds of sweet soup desserts.
Around 22:00, we will return to the hotel.
