Tunnels and more - Our guide named Kero was amazing. He communicated efficiently and was very knowledgeable about the history of Vietnam. He not only informed us about the history but also gave us great tip and food recommendations. As for the tour, it was an eye opening experience to go through the tunnels and see the war museum. I highly recommend this tour and Kero! Thank you for a wonderful tour.

Amazing Experience! - Had an amazing day yesterday doing this tour. It was organised by Jenny from the Blog travel agency and my tour guide was Ken. Had a great time with Ken who was very informative and supportive, including providing water and when crossing busy traffic. The tour was a great experience, learnt a lot and was safe. The details: Was picked up at my hotel and had a great introduction from Ken about the Cu Chi Tunnels including the history and Ken's personal connection. First, we went to see the Lamphat Company Handicapped Handicrafts, where they showed us how the art was made and the gift shop (it was a little expensive but you can buy small items that are cheaper like I did and they said the profits go towards victims of agent orange). We then went out to the shooting range near the Cu Chi Tunnels, it was lots of fun, only wish they hadn't run out of ammo for the RPD). After, we went to the Cu Chi Tunnels, which was an amazing feat of engineering, innovation and the soldiers and families' personal strength - I would have struggled just alone to the humidity. Forewarning, the 2nd level tunnels that go down at least 30 metres are tough to go through. It's narrower than the first level, further distance and is winding with narrow drops and rises. I'm not claustrophobic but I'm not good with humidity and nearly overheated, had to rest for a few minutes before continuing. I was glad that Ken's transport had very good air conditioning and water, I was able to rest on the journey back. We were unfortunately delayed by one of the other tourists feeling unwell and had to drop them off. Ken then got us delicious Banh Mi. We then arrived at the Secret Weapons Cellar/Bunker, which was secret as advertised. Then we went to the War Remnants Museum, which was an eye opener, confronting at times but well worth the visit to learn about the impacts of the Vietnam war. Lastly, we drove to the Notre Dame Cathedral (which is being renovated until 2027, though has been delayed several times). Then went to the Central Post Office, Ken took some pictures of me and finally Ken pointed out where the last US helicopter left at the end of the Vietnam war (very iconic). We then drove back to my hotel, Ken said to contact him if I needed help or advice about anything and sent through all the photos on WhatsApp.

Cu Chi tunnels w/ Mr. Po - Our trip to the Cu Chi tunnels was led by Mr. Po and was one of my favorite experiences ever! Mr. Po is truly the kindest individual and was so attentive to our groups needs. He is so knowledgeable and he makes the tours so fun and interesting for all! He is always thinking one step ahead and truly wants all of us to have the best time. He even went out of his way to pay for individual coffees for our whole group. I cannot rave about him more!
