The crew was very hospitable and the scenery was absolutely gorgeous!
This was an absolutely great tour!! This history of the area was explained in a very interesting way with humor. I highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting the Lake George area.
We enjoyed the boat ride very much. It was a beautiful day. Could have done without the music. Would have rather listened to nature instead. The most disconcerting part of the trip was the mildly offensive sexist comments from the narrator :(
The boat and tour were fantastic. We greatly enjoyed it and would do it again. Nevertheless, the times for the cruise announced on the website did not match what actually took place on the actual day. We arrived 30 minutes before the tour was suppose to start (10:30), which is what the website advised, but then ended up waiting another 30 minutes before we could even board (11:00). Really wish the cruise would keep to time. Seemed a bit unprofessional as a result. The cruise itself, of course, was great.
For one, I love how I was able to board with my dog. Overall, it was a very relaxing experience, with friendly crew and atmosphere. We didn't pay too much attention to the history being told over the intercom but when we did, they were clear and engaging. The view was breathtaking, and there was enough space for us to choose to stand or sit. Just what we needed after a wild parasailing experience.
Such a lovely view, the boat wasn't crowded which was amazing.
We couldn't understand the narration most of the time. It was very mumbly. Remember, we're trying to listen over all the boat noises.
Too much music, not enough history. Tour guide hard to hear (much softer than the music)
we thought the cruise was good, the speaker on the rear of the boat was low which made it difficult to hear all the historical jewels. Also the multiple spiders and webs on the windows was a deterrent to gaze out through the openings.
The boat ride was a lot of fun. I also liked that there were drinks available. The price was also reasonable. The only negative was that the person giving the tour could have spoken a little louder. But was interesting!
We couldnt hear the loudspeaker for the sightseeing cruise and the chairs were a bit uncomfortable.
Could not here intercom at the rear of the ship behind the bar! Also not as historically informative as the narrator on the steamship boat
The inside of the ship was very boring. Tour was fun so i rated it four stars....
The deck was slippery when wet, wife almost didn't make it off the boat.
Very good sightseeing ride and the one hour time was just right and the price reasonable. My only suggestion is that when the Captain describes exactly what we are looking at, he better clarify exactly which house or which island. I found myself not knowing exactly which location he was always describing.
But could've been a little cleaner. It was supposed to be a narrated tour whoever spoke spoke for five minutes. Otherwise it was time on the cruise.
It was difficult to hear the Captain speak. We also would have enjoyed even more information about Lake George and the surrounding area's history.
I was disappointed that I was unable to hear the Captain's narration on the boat as the volume was turned lower than it should have been.
It was difficult to hear the captain on present speaker, with what I did hear I enjoy the history of Lake George.
The audio was too low. It was hard to hear some of the information being given.
Beautiful trip on the lake... loud music in between tour guide narrative.
