- Historic Savannah walking tour with guide

I enjoyed the walking tour, I loved going through many squares and hearing the history of the square and the buildings nearby. I appreciated that we did go as far as Forsyth Park, because it would have been doubtful I would have gotten there outside the tour. I know that Chris varies his tour so I might have just gotten a Gump-heavy version, that was the only part that I thought was a bit overdone. Chris is a local and can add lots of local color to the tours, and does, which I appreciated. I would recommend this walking tour to anyone, very fun and fact-filled.
Need more walking around. Too much talking without moving
Tour guide was informative but would have liked a little more character
Tour guide was quite theatrical. Wish there was a little more emphasis on history.
Chris had great information & sense of humor. However, I would caution him not to tell stories which make fun of past clients - the message given is that if you say something, it may be fodder for ridicule on his next tour..
My guide, Daniel, was very informative and knowledgable. I found the tour quite heavy in history and I would've enjoyed more recent facts and stories about the city.
Daniel was very knowledgable and provided excellent stories as to the history of Savannah. For someone that had a limited time in town, I truely felt like my time was well spent. Thanks Daniel!
Tour was great, Daniel was very knowledgable. Really enjoyed it.
Our guide had a wonderful personality and we enjoyed the tour, but we would have liked a bit more history of the city rather than spending a lot of time on the films made in Savannah, specifically "Forest Gump".
our guide was very informative and enthusiastic
We would have liked hearing more historical information and less about the Forrest Gump, etc., connection.
It was very informative and the guide made it interesting.
it just seems this more of a monument tour than a history tour. The tour went from monument to monument telling us what each one represented. I realize they are interconnected but other history relating to Savannah, something about the port, its start etc... would have been nice
This is a pretty good tour for a first time visitor, interested in Savannah's history. This was more interesting to Hubby, than to me. I wanted to ask a lot of questions, but didn't want to hold up the group. I really wish I was on a tour of antibellum houses.....that's more my speed. Maybe next time I come back, I'll find a tour like that.
I loved the walking part and all the historic information about the military and battles, etc. I would like more information/walk by some of the houses. Some architectural information would have been helpful as well. This is just a suggestion.
Tour guide Chris is very knowledgeable and gave lots insight to the history and culture of Savannah. Would definitely recommend this tour to everyone.
