A wonderful walk with good atmosphere. - The excursion was a very pleasant and well organized experience from the beginning. The tour started on time the very friendly guide, and with knowledge about the places visited, which made the tour much more interesting. We were able to enjoy landscapes and see emblematic sites. I really liked everything 10 out of 10.

A luxury experience - I took great advantage of the City Tour Punta Cana for the perfect combination of countryside and city, which allowed me to know the true essence of the destination. The guide was exceptional, with a lot of knowledge, and was with me throughout the tour explaining each place in a clear and interesting way. The tour was very pleasant and one of the best moments was to taste the Dominican coffee and the traditional Mamajuana, which made the experience even more authentic. A complete and cultural experience. Very well guided and pleasant. Totally recommended to see Punta Cana beyond the resorts.

Punta cana -higuey - During the tour we enjoyed a spectacular panoramic view, surrounded by natural landscapes that reflect the essence of the region. We loved the beautiful and colorful cottages, which give a special and very authentic charm to the journey. The kindness of the people made the tour even more enjoyable; At all times we felt well received and were able to learn about the true spirit of Higüey and Punta Cana.

Great way to explore local culture in 4 hours and still get back to the resort for lunch - Tour was great, we left promptly at 9am and toured a local coffee/cocoa plantation where we learned about all the plants in the area. Cigar shop was OK - it was in the city, not the countryside. The churches are beautiful. Walking the through the city market was an eye opener.

An Authentic Experience in Higüey - Taking the City Tour in Higüey was an excellent decision. As a Canadian who enjoys learning about local culture, my favorite part was visiting the traditional Dominican house. The family welcomed us warmly, and I got to see how they live, cook, and keep their traditions alive. It felt genuine and completely different from the resort experience. The guide was friendly and very knowledgeable. I highly recommend this tour to anyone who wants to discover the real charm of Higüey and its people.

A walk on the island worth gold - Doing the tour with City Tours Higüey was a beautiful experience. From the beginning, I was treated with a lot of sweetness and respect, as if I were part of his family. Everything was clear, soft and with that Caribbean touch that I love. I learned new things from Higüey without getting bored, because the guides explain calmly and with special affection. Each stop had something nice and made me feel comfortable and happy throughout the tour. I recommend City Tours Higüey because you can really see the love they work with. It is a sweet, simple and enjoyable tour from start to finish

A wonderful day in Punta Cana - During my journey to Higüey, I was able to appreciate the natural beauty that accompanies the rural paths. The green fields, sugarcane plantations and palm trees along the route form a typical and very pleasant landscape to observe. I also attracted attention to the Dominican rural life: the cattle, the farmers and the small country houses that give an authentic touch. When you arrive in Higüey, you notice the mixture of tradition, culture and spirituality that characterizes the city. This city tour allowed me to know its most important points and enjoy the natural landscape before entering the urban area.

A tour to another level the truth - Parce, this tour was a bombshell. Since we left Punta Cana everything was super well organized. What I liked the most was that we could taste the freshly cut sugar cane, a total note, super sweet and natural. We also visited the Basilica of Higüey and uff... what an imposing monument. Being there feels special, it is one of those places that you do or do have to know. The truth, 100% recommended. A very bakan experience to learn more about Dominican culture.

Lack of cultural information - Had requested an English speaking guide but basically wasn’t guided by the person they sent. Spoke English if we asked questions, other than that the “guide” and the driver spoke Spanish to one another. Not sure if they were talking about us or just ignoring us. When we got to any stops they went their own way and left us in the hands of whatever guide was on site to fend for ourselves and try to avoid the requests for more money whether it be for tour, merchandise or tips. Enjoyed seeing the countryside but would have liked more information on what we were seeing and about the culture of Dominicans.
