On this 5.5-hour guided tour where you’ll also explore the habitat’s on-site botanical garden, as well as a coffee and cacao plantation. Chat it up with local farmers, learn about their organic methods and taste tropical fruit just plucked from a tree. Hotel transport from Punta Cana and Bavaro is included.

Amazing Tour and Guides - Went on the Monkeyland tour with my bestie and had an anytime. Our tour guide Angel and driver Leo were awesome!! Angel was amazing with his knowledge and enthusiasm!!! We learned so many facts about the Dominican Republic and its culture. I would DEFINITELY recommend this tour and Angel and Leo to anyone who wants to experience some real culture.

Angel and Leo tour of Monkeyland - Went on a tour with Angel and Leo-it was absolutely amazing. The monkeys were fantastic but along the drive Angel provided information on the Dominican Republic that was fascinating!! Highly recommend these two!

10/10 recommend - We booked the half day tour of monkey land and we were lucky to receive Leo and Angel as our tour guides. Those guys were nothing short of amazing and they really know their stuff. Extremely informative and helpful. 10/10 recommend!!

Excellent experience with Angel and Leo at Monkeyland! - Did the half day Monkeyland trip with Angel and Leo from Bahia Principe. We had no idea it wasn’t just monkeys (which was awesome) but it’s also a whole cultural tour, coffee/cocoa production demonstration, and tasting. Worth every penny and would do it again.

This Whole Tour Was On Point!! 🤩 - This land excursion was chosen by us over many others offered from the Punta Cana area of the Dominican Republic. Easily booked through Trip Advisor. We chose the early morning 7am verses the 2pm afternoon. Great communication with the host/driver via texts and emails. Pickup was quick and traveled in an air conditioned bus through town to a common area where we were grouped with other visitors and were boarded onto the Open Air Busses. The local guide 'Baltamoort' on our bus was safety conscious, spoke well and communicated things of himself, the general local lifestyle, farmers, schools, etc along the way through the countryside and up the mountain road to the Monkeyland habitat. The entire experience was Absolutely wonderful, unique, well thought out, safe, fun and very family friendly! It just kept getting better and better...especially when the lil monkeys came around! The gardens, the coffee and hot chocolate tasting...Amazing! This Whole Tour Was On Point!!

Amazing Time! - From the start it was a great experience, our tour guide Angel was very informative and funny. Our driver Samuel was also great! They had the entire bus laughing the whole time. We also learned a lot about the country. This is a must do!

Monkeyland - Our family had a great time with the squirrel monkeys! Angel was such a great guide and taught us a lot about the culture and people of DR . Adolfo was an excellent driver and got us safely to and from our destination.

Monkeys - The bus came and picked us up at our resort - we got a confirmation email of the pickup time and it was pretty accurate. There were several other stops to pickup other guests before heading to a drop off location where we were shuffled into the open air bus. Initially they wanted to pack us in like sardines, but fortunately we had some outspoken guests that wanted none of that. Once they realized we weren’t agreeing to overpacking the open air bus, they shuffled us to more comfortable seating arrangements and then we drove up into the hills. The ride takes quite a while. Our tour guide - Baldimort (not sure of the spelling) was quite informative: he gave a lot of history of the country and the social disparity of the residents. The ride, though long, was made more enjoyable by our tour guide. Once we got to the ‘monkey island’ - everything was amazing! Very organized and well run. The monkeys seemed healthy and well taken care of. Such a treasured experience! We were with the monkeys about 40 minutes. Then we had a demonstration of local products of DR - cocoa, coconut oil, Mama Juana. A bit of a sales pitch, but enjoyable nonetheless. The ride back was also long. Overall we all enjoyed this amazing trip.

I’ll never forget these yellow monkeys - Monkeyland was a truly unforgettable experience. There were so many organically funny moments in the group with the monkeys. Two people in our group were pooped and peed on so be careful for that lol. The monkeys were extremely cute and the guides were very knowledgeable and you can tell they really care about the wellbeing of the monkeys. I’d absolutely recommend it.
